  1. That formation of orcas reminded me of orcas going after a minke whale in another video. Different from when they swim sideways, belly up, or breaching. Maybe they were actually trying to get the boat out of their territory, and if it doesn't… Though I have not heard of them being terrirorial.

Not a Marine biologists but I've seen this behavior before & although it is thrilling to have this close encounter the fact that they got right up against the boat, on both sides isn't exactly them playing. They're territorial & sometimes innocent boaters misinterpret friendliness for chasing you out of their feeding grounds. Just saying. That wooden boat is no match against them. May not eat people but the boat is fair game.
