  1. Start to find out who and what are causing these fires might be surprised. And not the wind but the dry heat is why it's spreading and we have always been warned about that forever. And if it rains it won't help but just cause more problems so then maybe find out who is starting the fires and take action.

  11. I suspect California's wildfires is nature's way of telling us if humans are not going to produce CO2 to benefit plant growth and pollution to block the sun's heat it's going to do it itself. Since 1928 there has been a significant decline in the frequency of wildfires possibly due to the use of fossil fuels for energy production, manufacturing, and transportation. Graphs show that the steepest decline happened during WWII when weapons production became important and soon after the explosion of home building and automobile manufacturing took over scene. This lasted until the 1980s when air pollution became a concern for public health and safety and the need for "saving the planet" begun. From then until the beginning of the century, the frequency of wildfires became somewhat stable. Now with concerns of global warming and climate change, the reduction of CO2 and other greenhouse gases has taken focus, the number of wildfires are on the rise. This could suggest that even though "dirty air" may be a health hazard for humans the reduction of greenhouse gases is a 'health hazard" for this ever changing earth. Looks like we have a trade off, allow automobiles to burn fossil fuels and transition to renewable energy production or switch to electric vehicles and utilize fossil fuels to produce electricity. It's apparent a balance has to be achieved.

  12. My heart breaks for the lady who lost her husband. But then the husband was totally irresponsible and stupidly reckless to go ahead with a hike when the weather is so hot and wildfires going on there. It doesn't get any stupid-er than that. The lady should move on!!

  19. In 1988 Dr James Hansen from NASA sat before the United States Senate. The purpose of his testimony was that he said to the United States Senate and the rest of the country, that global warming has been detected. He said that with absolute conviction that if Americans continue to burn coal oil and natural gas and carbon dioxide emissions continue to increase, he said that it will continue to warm the planet and cause an increase in the amount of desertification, heat waves, flash floods. But scientists before him even going as far back as 70 years ago has warned the public and even Lyndon B Johnson, that if humans continue to burn Co oil and natural gas and release carbon dioxide into the atmosphere that some of the conditions that we've seen today would occur. In 1972 Exxon did its own internal investigation. Senior leadership hired scientists and built up a chemistry lab. They did their own internal investigation whether the burning of gasoline diesel and jet fuel would increase carbon dioxide emissions and threatened planet Earth. The conclusion written in the report was yes it would it would be an absolute disaster. For decades ExxonMobil has denied that the burning of coal oil and natural gas could very well potentially push planet Earth to a mass extinction. All of you reading this you are the consumers of that product. Your parents were the consumers of coal oil and natural gas. Even though carbon dioxide is a trace element in the atmosphere, it's having a horrible effect in trapping Heat and changing the way that rain patterns occur on planet Earth.

My condolences…as the planet heat up one side and gets very cold on the other side…wonder as heat expands and contracts more and more frequently, how all these will affect the tectonic plates with dormant or semi dormant volcanoes….bad enough that ammonia trapped in cold regions and the sea itself is melting and escaping into the atmosphere…zzz

  34. Why don't the home owners just do a burn back where u start the first at the house yard and control it to where is won't have fuel to burn up to ur house simple oh wait u have no power so water won't be pumped
