18. I am 47 and just found out 20 mins ago and wanna share how important Johm Madden was to my life.
    *My greatest football memories as a Diehard Bills fan in south FL in 80's as a lil kid but my prime came
    in 1990 when i became an older Teenager and The BILLS ~VS~ Dolphins rivalry was in full hatred swing…
    *Madden was sooo popular and loved as a announcer at this time.. THE PEN & His side stories about
    Troy Aikman loving hotdogs and showing him eating them on the sideline ROTF.. But Maddens love
    of BRETT FAVRE,,EMMITT,,DEION,,CHARLES HALEY,,BRUCE SMITH,,REGGIE WHITE & most of the superstars of
    the late 1980's/early 1990's… He also got me so interested that i took my football knowledge to abother level
    And as a gamer kid i bought Madden 1992.. I played the Madden before 92 but it was crappycrap..
    BUT Madden92 was so good that we all went crazy for Madden 93 & Madden 93~championship edition
    (which had great teams and introduced player names as it was just their number before that…
    *I played Madden from 1992 ~to~ 2014 as a diehard.. mostly solo franchise mode.
    BUT from 1999~to~2007 we played a weekly tournament w/ about 8 of my closest homies..
    The winner/The CHamp didn't pay from drinks on saturday night when we went downtown to clubs etc.
    We had a Bears,,Dolphins,,Pats,,Steelers,,Jets,,Packers,,Bills,,Cowboys,,49ers and every single one of us ONLY
    played our teams even though they sucked..The worst team was The Bears and he was our Champ..

    ~But the video game never became bigger to me & my friends then the Man himself…
    I kinda stopped watching NON Buffalo games once Madden retired..It wasn't the same..
    And even though Madden was mostly NFC.. yeah i'd say 90% of Maddens games we're NFC matchups..
    I didn't care..He made it exciting.. I admit we all took him for granted until he retired….
    The way he gushed over BrettFavre & Steve Young was so memorable & hillarious..
    *RIP John Madden & thankYou for all that you gave me……

19. I am an average 50 plus yr old woman and he always comforted me and humanized a sport a barely understand. I just enjoyed him all my life.

20. NFL madden hands down the most realistic game play great coach and was never in the spotlight for sandals…….. we will miss you !!!!
