9. I remember once in Long Beach Ca I was in my small 10ft fishing boat when Orcas swam past me. One the scariest yet most wonderful moments in my life.

    Best time to go is in August to beat the crowds and the weather is warm but the water is a little chilly

24. Sheesh! I know that transient Orcas only attack humans about once a century, but I also know that with my luck I’d be the swimmer or surfer to be out on that day! They really are such intelligent and fascinating beings – I’d love to retire in a place where I could watch them and enjoy their pace of life.
