The Razer Kishi Ultra was a powerful mobile controller, but its price was a dealbreaker. With the new Razer Kishi V3 series, Razer tries to fix that… sort of.

In this Razer Kishi V3 review, we break down the entire lineup. Is the standard Kishi V3 the best budget-friendly phone controller for casual mobile gaming? Is the Kishi V3 Pro a true console-quality successor for serious mobile gamers? And where does the massive Kishi V3 Pro XL fit in? We’ll compare the features, drawbacks, and value of each telescopic mobile controller to see if they are worth your money.

  1. I will probably pick up the pro. Looks like the best bang for your buck currently available. Was looking at the backbone pro but they don’t have tmr changeable sticks or Hall effect triggers and its $179 I also don’t see the use of the pro XL since you would be more comfortable using a stand with your tablet and connecting a xbox controller via bluetooth. Rather then having to constantly hold a controller and your ipad im trying to relax not workout.

  2. Yesterday, I ordered the v3 pro xl. it's the only controller I could find that would fit my tablet without modding. I'm actually suprised there are no more options on the market. Something like Nintendo joycans for tablets could be an idea. I like to sit in a comfy chair with my tablet resting on a cushion on my lap and only play call of duty mobile. Perhaps this is the start of me upgrading to a newer gaming tablet or console. Ps had to order online here in Australia, opting for Amazon at a price just over $200 usa. Its actually coming from Amazon Japan, local online retailers where $20 more and delivery around the same time. Although once i ordered Amazon changed the delivery estimate by an additional week!

  3. I just need something for my iPad Air 11” m3… $200 is a hard pill to swallow on a mobile controller but I’m not finding anything else. The G8+ I essentially need to break for it to work…

I bought the iPad for other reasons but I’m thinking I can dual purpose it instead of buying a steam deck for my casual handheld gaming.

  4. In a world where the GameSir Galileo 8/8+ and Abxylute S9 exist, you'd have to be a Razr shareholder to put even $70-$100 into one of these things.

    🚶🏽‍♂️ 🚶🏽‍♂️ 🚶🏽‍♂️

  5. I was praising razer after the razer kishi ultra came out. Even after I got my backbone pro I still felt like it was the better controller.

After seeing your video I’m convinced the backbone pro is the better controller. And for anyone who is reading this your not paying for a subscription with backbone to use the app that’s just extra your paying for an extended warranty. No other company is doing that so yeah once ur razer kishi has issues ur just screwed.

  6. I woke up to news that the Kishi Ultra I picked up last month (to replace my v2) was already outdated. Then I realized that I'm good with what I got and for $89 Renewed instead of brand new. It works great, and has RGB lighting if you're into that.

  7. The Razer tax is real. I hate that we the consumer have to pay a premium because their name is on the device. My Abxylute S9 costed $49 on their Kickstarter and it has all the things the V3 does plus vibration. The V3 is certainly better than the Backbone One for that same $99 price, but why anyone would get the V3 over the Abxylute or G8 Galileo or Galileo+ with its vibration support does not make sense to me.
