46 thoughts on “5 things iPhone users get WRONG about Android in 2025!

  1. I wanted to try an iPhone after my last Android phone got slow after 5 years, everything seemed fine until I tried Carplay. Damn it is bad compared to Android Auto. There are 2 carplay views fullscreen or half map half media, AA you can have a small media or callscreen or whatever you want next to whatever map app you want. Carplay navigation doesn't show up on my car's head up display, only when using apple maps which objectively sucks. Siri is really bad in understanding Dutch to navigate anywhere. Might be a VW thing but sometimes carplay just doesn't work. Both ecosystems have good and bad stuff going on.

  2. I have a Pixel 9 and the iphone 16 pro.
2 things that Android doesnt do well and keeps me using Iphone as my primary. Password managers work sometimes and faceid blows android out of the water. I still like android but for daily use, IOS.

  3. Hey! I switched to Android a little over a week ago. I was a lifelong Apple user. I like the freedom and customization on Android and wanted to switch. Could you do a tutorial on that exact customization at 3:35?? It's beautiful. I'm really new to this stuff, lol, so I have no idea what I'm doing.

  4. the users that switched didnt know how dumb it was to switch because they either jumped into a cieling fan or they smoked crack. hardware choices are bad as they cause fragmentation, 2. android is still slow, i mean it does have fast animations, but its not as snappy as the iphone. also its still hideous af, i want to throw up looking at its hideous ui, and its not user friendly at all, it feels like garbage. 3, dont use on device ai. if you need ai, use chatgpt or deepseek. or run local llms on your mac. 4. people with green text bubbles are walking Ls. a green bubble means you like to pay when you can get it free because you need cellular and green bubbles = troll.

  5. With IOS it's designed for you not to leave. I went to IOS for 5 years, back on Android. Much harder to leave iOS due to ecosystem and purchased media. In Google you can take it with you.

  6. Biggest and most dangerous fact about iPhone is that Apple dictates what you may even install, with Android it is pure freedom. (i own both of phones)

  7. Android os is slightly slower and not as optimized. Understandable because they are capable of a lot more. I have been iPhone for 10 years but would never buy a apple computer

  8. People in the US love to say that Android is for poor people and iPhone is so luxurious. Give me a break. My phone probably cost more than yours did. That said, most people in the US are stupid.

  9. Again – this "war" between OS is not about the OS itself, ok some things are more or less convinient on each ecosystem, but the issue is the attitude and agenda – look what apple has done to the tech market – almost everyone is trying to be as greedy as apple, because apple makes stupid ideas popular – removing fast charging brick, fast charging cable, headphones and MiniJack calling it "bravery" and "environment care"??? huge bullshit, it's a pure money grab, apple is a company made of a greedy assholes comming up with ideas wrapped in bereautiful lies forcing some Android manufacturers to do the same, which makes me pay more and get less, and that's why I will never support apple with anything. I despise them.
Privacy on iphone? Tik Cook is ROTFLing each time anyone mentione privacy on apple device. People still believe in that privacy bullshit?

  10. I spent 2 years on Android a few years back, the only thing I want to know – will I still get abused to sweet hell for asking how to get things to work on my Android phone like I did the first time around?

  11. In truth, Android users don't give a damn about what Apple 🍏 🐑 thinks, but above all, stop trying to make people believe that Pixel-Experience is the face of Android and is the preference of the majority of Android users.

If people really liked Android according to Google, the Nexus/Google Play Edition (despite having the same equipment as their competitors of yesteryear and were much cheaper) and Pixel wouldn't have sold as badly as they always have sold and continue to sell.

    🚶🏽‍♂️ 🚶🏽‍♂️ 🚶🏽‍♂️

  12. I bought the pixel 9 pro xl last week.
There are great things on it, fingerprint scanner and camera, but security and some apps I used has compatibility issues on android.

  13. Today for the smaller players of Android, I still have concerns on the longevity of updates, Apple have been fairly consistent over the years.

Another old chestnut I wish more of the larger players of Android ( with more consistent updates) kept the headphone jack and SD Card support. To me that really differentiated between Apple flagships and Android back in the day,

Currently my main driver is the iphone 13 mini and have enjoyed the longer updates cycle. When i purchased the Iphone, Google only did 2 years or so. My Pixel 3a was the perfectly working phone with no more updates. I was attracted to the form factor of the iphone mini (I wanted to go small the pixel 3a XL was too big) and other than ASUS having one model (that had no real long term promises of updates), the smaller form factor doesn't sell anymore which is a shame.

Apple has the benefits of accessories as well, more options. Magsafe is pretty cool from Apple as well esp in 12,13 era, now it's more mainstream with Android cases. The Airtag is another accessory that is cool. The alternatives are not as good (in my view) except maybe Samsung's version but it's confined to Samsung only.

I have avoided icloud and stuck to Google photos etc. Whilst maybe not as good running this on an Iphone vs my Pixel 3a XL natively , you can still "survive" on an iphone. I want the option to go back some day when the iphone 13 doesn't get updates anymore.

  14. Thread here sounds more like a group bash off "iPhone" users. Funny as hell because I enjoy both. What you guys don't understand is "iPhones" or apple devices just WORK, less or no bugs to deal with, devices are software supported for about a decade, and just plain easy to use Even technically challenged folks can learn to use quickly. Not everyone wants to tinker around with their phones way too much like Android users. Brand loyalty is another thing too and iPhones have great residual value as well. In short, most iPhone users just want a phone that will last longer, ease of use, and be worth the money at the end. Not to mention majority of folks uses 'FACETIME' to call nowadays. How can you FaceTime if you have android?

  15. I'm not on Android at the moment (I switch back and forth every couple of years as I have no brand/platform loyalty). The things I mostly encountered with ignorant Apple fanatics were:
    1. Comparing budget Android handsets against flagship iPhones. They'd get a several years old Samsung A series from work or something that was often several years old and complain it wasn't as smooth as their iPhone
    2. Calling Android users "poor". I was regularly called "poor" online by weirdo fans, which considering I only ever bought flagship devices up front in full, getting called poor by someone with an iPhone that cost basically the same (and sometimes less than my device), which they were paying off monthly was frankly hilarious to me.
    3. Claiming androids had shit cameras, this seemed to all stem from how at the time, Snapchat on Android was a steaming pile of shit and wouldn't use the actual camera processing, and would just screenshot the viewfinder resulting in a poor quality image. In actual photo taking there were plenty of phones that went toe-to-toe with the iPhone and some that usually won in blind photo tests.

  16. Who cares why can’t people just like what they like and leave it at that. Instead everyone makes it a never ending war of iPhones vs. android phones. 🙄

  17. The only reason why Android users continue to try to convince iPhone users is because they know outside of the technology being better, the using of the phone is the same. However, the way iPhones work together with those you’re trying to connect with is what iPhone users prefer. I used Android for many years but cool features were often locked to specific brands, processors, OS etc. so you never get to use the features. So what is the point of getting a phone with cool tricks that I can’t use

  18. I just sold my Pixel 9 Pro Fold and went back to iPhone.. not because I didn't like the phone (it's an awesome device to use) but because the quality of apps is terrible compared to the iOS counterparts from the same developer. Things like my garage open/close app from Liftmaster/MyQ not sending notifications until the phone is unlocked (I worked on this for days to no avail), to YouTube having weird bugs, Facebook marketplace photos wouldn't zoom in properly, etc. Or my banking app having a "slide to confirm transfer" that didn't scale properly on the screen and you could barely grab the slide handle to confirm the transaction. This is not Google's fault but the developers faults.

iPhone has always been reliable and practical for me, but it gets boring. It's unfortunate I can't use my daily apps on Android (yet), which is why I had to switch back. It's been this way for a decade or more. I've tried flagship Samsungs (S23 Ultra is most recent for me) and the Pixel line up over the years but the apps just seem like a Chinese bootleg version on android compared to the iOS version.

  19. I have a couple of friends saying "I've used Android for 5 years, now on iPhone but I'd never go back". Seriously, what have they been doing wrong? What was so complicated on an Android?

  20. I honestly tried liking iphones because theyre good phones, and there are things about the ecosystem (mostly iphone-ipad connection) that i like a little better. But i just couldn't. I hate ios. Im not entirely sure what it is but theres just certain aspects of how stuff is organized and the tiny difference in navigation that drives me crazy. I WANTED to like ios. And literally could have had a 15 pro max for free but couldnt get past the constant frustration i had with ios and got a samsung instead. Also, i was coming from a pixel and i dont really understand why you say theyre so similar. I love one ui, stock android on pixels is nice, but ios is just……weird

  21. i like my tech so i have two phones. I was really considering the iPhone 16 Pro Max as I was getting a bit bored of Android. I had the S24 Ultra and a Pixel 9 Pro XL (which I think is a bit overhyped). So, I thought I'd offload the Pixel and get the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

I went to the Apple store and had a play with one for a bit. One thing I can't do without is an app drawer, but I thought for the right price I'd give it a go. Then I watched Flossy Carter talk about the iPhone and why he hasn't reviewed the 16 Pro Max, and it got me thinking. Then there's the Apple intelligence, which is overhyped, and I use all the Google apps – Keep, Sheets and Notes – and I have Link to Windows, etc.

But I was still determined, but the 16 Pro Max was out of stock. So, while I was out and about, I had a go with an Oppo Find X8 Pro, and I fell in love! The camera is amazing, the battery is amazing. So, I started looking more into other Android brands. Then I actually sold my S24 Ultra for £600 and took Honor up on its nice offer and got the 7 Pro, and what a phone!

So now I'm balls deep in Chinese phones and loving it! Oh, and if anybody wants to see an iPhone get absolutely smashed in video rendering, get an Oppo Find X8 Pro and CapCut, and you'll realise the Dimensity 9400 is a monster – faster than the Snapdragon Elite in that app.

  22. I had a horrible experience with Android for my first two devices, the LG G3 and LG Google Nexus 5X. Both bootlooped and I was so tempted to go back to iOS after that. Today, and several hit and mostly misses later, I am using a Google Pixel 8 Pro. During that entire time, I never once owned a Samsung but I used an S8+ for about 5 minutes. I do still consider going back to iPhone, even if its just for the duration of one 24 month contract. I do also consider a flip phone, which would either be my first Samsung, or going back to Motorola for the first time since the ancient E365 for the Razr.

  23. I think my (as someone who's been using an iPhone for the past 7 years, but was a die hard Android user before that) take on the difference is less about the state of the platforms as they are now, and more the direction they're moving in. Whereas Android was seen as the open platform, and iOS the closed, I think they're moving in opposite directions. Now I'm not saying iOS is more open than Android, definately not, nor am I saying it ever will be, but just hear me out:

Apple have been adding more customisation options to their iPhone, with the lock screen changes a few years back and the homescreen changes in iOS 18, and, if (begrudgingly) opening up their platform more, with RCS support and 3rd party app stores in the EU.

Google, have not been doing that. I think customisation took a big hit with Android 12 and the introduction of Material You (you get 5 pastel colours that tint the entire system and thats your lot), and it seems like every 6 months I hear Google pulling moves like:
    – Locking out third party app developers & users with unlocked bootloaders from using RCS, preventing the previously popular custom SMS apps from being even possible.
    – Widening the gap between AOSP and Google Android by moving functionality to the, closed source, Google Play Services, to the detriment of AOSP's usability
    – Redirecting users to the Play Store if they try and sideload an APK file

  24. I've used both Android phones and iPhones and they're both great, one isn't better than the other, I've enjoyed using both. They're just variations on a theme and I get tired of the Them vs Us mentality when both are great.

  25. I would be really glad if mobile manufacturers wouldn't push larger phones every year. Today it's difficult to find a good mobile with display smaller under 6 inches (or 152mm for fans of metric system) on Apple or any Android device. I am sure there exist some funny memes about this.

  26. Apple users are the most closed-blinded tech customers on earth. They're really bitter and sour. Period. (And they're always asking Android users "Oh! Wow! How did you do that!? Can I do the same with my iPhone?" LOL)

  27. You can use a $10 000 android device, iPhone users will always say you are cheap.

in an iPhone user's eyes, every android device is cheaper than an iPhone
