37. The problem with your analysis is that our current Democratic party is weak and feckless. They won't exercise these powers even if they can. We continue to hold on to this notion of fair play while Republicans ignore the rules and laugh at us. I don't claim to have a solution to the problem but I know it has to start with the removal of all the disconnected elderly losers from Congress. Chuck Schumer can write his "strongly worded letters" from a retirement village in upstate New York with the same level of results.
