4. I was once incarcerated with my brother in law and my mom and older sister were incarnated right next to me in the jail. We were able to talk through a window when the women had yard time. It was something to experience.

5. Programs saved my life. Jail was just a detox facility for me. It does not help at all. I once worked at a 3 month DOC treatment center for women in Black Mountain NC. That program was for probationers and parolees who have violated but were sent there instead of being sent back to prison. There are many still doing well today from completing that program and getting the treatment and tools to live a clean and productive life.

25. Man it’s so awesome seeing the first visit with the randoms you can tell how down they are on their luck and then they get a random visit from a stranger and you can just see the change in them how they start becoming happy and hopefully looking for a better life
