5. crazy thing this happend to my grandma, he was pretending to be paypal, and for some reason, she belived him, i listend to a recording later, but he had her take it all out in cash at like 2am, and go to a crypto atm or something like that, and she actully transferd it. idk how older people are so gullible, like how did she fall for that

14. Second time I dealt with these scammers…
    I get a call from someone at the sheriffs office, left a message saying I needed to handle something quickly.
    They gave the name of an actual deputy.
    A name I knew ( note my late husband was an officer for 17 yrs)
    I then called that deputy on his cell and asked why he has calling and pranking me. He assured me he never called. (Please note. This deputy just retired 4 months prior to this)
    Apparently these people are looking up not only people to scam but are looking up the names of real officers and deputies. Using them.
    I called the scammer back and had a hayday! Because the name he used, this deputy is one of my closest friends, I’ve known for 20+ years and lives across the street.
    The called ended with him calling me a stupid B….
    I hope you can continue to get these people!

15. So, 5 years ago before I knew about all of this…… I own a courier company… I had someone call and said they were from a loan company. They had a handicap customer who couldn’t drive. They said they are wanted to hire us to pickup and take to FedEx. Which, is something we do for law office on a regular basis. So, we did. Less than a hour later we get a call from the local police department and had to go through this huge ordeal. Sure enough it was a scam and we had no idea this happened ever. Come to find out they told this lady her son was in jail and she needed to send it so he could get bail.
    These scammer creeps all need to go to jail.
