New Calves, Raking and Baling Hay

Allow me to introduce all our new calves! Then it’s time to get busy, raking hay with the Farmall MD, and baling hay with the Farmall 856.

  1. Sure Is relaxing watching you mow. I am a 85 year old farm gal. My dad was a farmer and did custom bailing using Minneapolis Moline wire tie bailer. I remember one time he was having trouble with the machine not wanting to tie the wire. A service guy from the dealership flew down from his place of business and landed his plane in the field where dad was bailing. Problem was fixed, and dad finished bailing. Thanks for sharing your farming videos.

  2. We put up square bales when I was young. I loved being in the hay fields. I find your explanations fascinating and enjoy watching the process.😊

  3. I thought round bales were made illegal by our present government in DC… they claim the animals are not getting a square meal ?! 😉

  4. Well… I'm not very observant. I can't ever remember seeing an engine that runs on both gasoline AND diesel. I mean – I've seen gasoline pony motors used to start a big diesel engine – but THIS is news to me, and it shouldn't be. Thanks for the education.

  5. An existential crisis? It's medical age related stuff that troubles me so. It's a few friends, few websites, and long walks that bring me back to the realities of life. Your site often brings a trip down memory lane.
Those some of the reasons I miss your regular visits into my life.

  6. My wife and I have a 50 acre farm in Ontario, and darned if we don't get a lot of good advice and ideas from your videos. Every time we watch Pete and Hilary it is just like being with old farm friends. You know the kind where you don't need entertaining or even a lot of conversation really…just the smiles and side looks are more than enough! I hope everything is well there, we count you as special company for sure. Welcome at my table anytime!

  7. Pete and Hillary I am not a farmer but each time I watch you two, I want to start farming. Thank you both for your integrity and presence. Both your light brings us Love to our homes and our hearts. God bless

  8. I look everyday but no Pete! That's OK buddy. We do not think of what is involver in making these videos. You make it feel so natural, like there is a magic camera walking with you. We miss you. Years ago, in another life as a teacher, I always told the Kids, "If we celebrated a birthday everyday, it would no longer be a party." i look forward to anything you have time to do. Enjoy the summer.
