Farmall Muscle Tractor Paradise! Restoration Tractor Sales Auction

Let’s go to an auction! Muscle tractors from the mid-1960’s to late 1970’s are currently hot collectors’ items, and there are more International Harvester muscle tractors at this auction than I’ve ever seen in one place. This is the Restoration Tractor Sales surplus auction in Lancaster, PA.

  1. Great stuff as always! Nice seeing the Great Fanatic–I watch some of his videos. If I had a tractor that came with a cab, I'd sell the cab. I'm an open station Farmall fundamentalist, lol. Cabs make me feel isolated from the ground and whatever implement I'm using. But I admit I'm in the minority, I know.😉

  2. Another great video. You do a terrific job on producing it too. I like the way you take us, the viewers into you day at the sale, very personal, thanks. My favorite IH tractor numbers were sold at this sale. My dad had many of them on the farm, 706 was one of the first. These tractors were the best, and to hear their sounds was exciting. We had a 1206 that was a powerhouse and I loved that one. The 856 we had would run forever, great motor. This auction sold one just like it. Thanks Pete, it was like being there.

  3. You cannot go to an auction with that much Red Power and not see the Farmall Fanatic there! Great video Pete. That 1256 would have looked awful nice next to the 656, 756 & 856!

  4. I felt your regret on your face after the end of the auction🤣🤣🤣 but don't worry, as you said you have many things, there will have more auctions and you are not the only one who regret not buying anything. I also stay thinking should I buy that or not? and undecided I don't do nothing then with more time to think I regret it.

  5. I cannot believe the prices that these guys are paying for the machinery it might as well be brand new because that’s what it cost. When those brand new unbelievable I know the new machinery is garbage. It’s electronic and you’re in trouble and you gotta pay too much to have the guys come out and work on those things. Unbelievable I bought a 5900 Ford in 1985. I guess it was made in Mexico I was pissed about that but I only paid $15,000 for it for a 58 hp tractor. It was both 3/16 easily in any kind of ground awesome piece of equipment But they pay the same prices for that equipment today as they did that which is absurd because it’s not worth it today that’s worth 1500 bucks sorry but people are foolish. Sure what they pay for that stuff now way too much money. I couldn’t be a farmer today cause I have to jump off the cliff I guess no machine with all the electronics is just junk in the long run 34 years is all you’re gonna get out of before everything goes to hell I know I drove semi truck for the last 33 years and they’re all drunk after two 300,000 miles I used to easilyeasily able to get 1,000,000 miles out of that equipment for this trash after that 300,000 miles I drove lots of that age and age crap out your junk. Don’t pay that kind of money for stuff.

  6. Whats up with putting the gas throttle behind the steering wheel? Seems quite hard to get to. Imagine plowing a field here in sweden bouncing all around.. 😅
