Grinder and paint make me the welder I ain't! I woulda done the same thing. Fixed, nobody is gonna see it and not structural! Wassup with the d-max dually with the water in oil/oil in water? I think it torched a hole in the block judging by the fuel knock on first start.

I would have also used a large C-clamp in conjunction with the hand winch…

Ray you have a body shop next door why didn't you ask them for advice
If it were me doing this repair, I would probably have taken the bumper off, used a torch to heat the steel until it was hot enough that it was malleable, and then used clamps and an eye beam that is flat and straight to base to press it intoa straightened form while heating the bend points so that they remain malleable and allow it to be bent into the correct shape.

I've seen worse body work performed by "professional body men". Hell I've done worse welding jobs in the past. For a feller who doesn't do body work, you did fairly good work in my opinion.

ray you drive me crazy the way you use the hammers in your life. Hammers have leverage down on the handle and less on the neck.
