Thanks to Jesse for making the intro and graphic for us to enjoy!!

Get a brick , and drive to a steep mountain ledge.
Reminds me of the Front wheel bearing and Hub i just did on a 06 Tundra. After I did the removal and found the bearing was perfect and not the problem, it was bad tires. ✌ï¸
Eyecromitor😅
I found the easiest way to break loose ball joints is with a sand filled dead blow hammer got mine from the Mac tool truck
37:00 Ray, was that boot torn on the upper Ball Joint ?
Great work with two wedges Ray. The use of old shoes… Great!
After splitting the top bush, well it certainly had a split @ 37:00 I would have replaced it.
If the vehicle screams you definitely put in the wrong hole 😂
Ray,
Having delt with those ball joints with punch bolts I drove a chisel into the split and then they come out much easier! The "old fart" from Venice. Oh the joys of suspension and bearing work.
Good detail maintenance job!
I'm from India…⤠I like your channel â¤â¤â¤
🇺🇸🇺🇸. Hi ray excellent video on axle wheel bearing and as always you wife boys be safe 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
That Bang, @ 23.50, has that jack become twisted?
i dont understand the need for a hub to be press fit into a bearing surely the large axle nut and 200ft lbs of torque will keep the bearing in place
Would you need a rear wheel alignment after taking the rear axle apart?
In Germany we do have special tool to open the clamp, for example BGS 6455.
I would love a tool box and power tools from Michigan!! AROD And RAY are the best!!
Dumb question here, what brand of rotors do you use? I have seen a couple of your videos with rotors that look like they are power coated?
How bout the air hammer, you usually use that
Yes you are sort of attached to your face!
reinstalling on weak ball joint with blown up boot – fail.
43:22 does wife unit have any comment?
great job Ray wrenching and wedging!😕
wondering how do the big boys do it at dealerships the mustant b using two back to back chisles and a prybar and chisel methobs?
anothew great rainman rays repairs videos!
I can't understand whatever is going on. .must be the reason I don't like Ford's
Ahhh, a bottle jack press. So simple. So useful.
I have found that when i am whaling on suspension components, they like to wiggle wobble and flop around, and absorb the force of my blows, as suspension components are designed to do. I have also found that trying to hold them with my hand as you were doing also absorbs the blow, into my hand…. the only way i have been able to beat on a suspension component where it didn't just absorb the hit and make my hammer completely useless is to put the suspension component on a jack or a stand so it has a solid connection with the ground, thus keeping it from being able to move. not a reeee here, just an observation i have made when cussing at suspension stuff myself.
Rear suspension tie rod= toe link —- I only know this because a NASCAR sprint cup car breaks this when they smack the wall
OMG! Just had my eye appointment the day before watching this video. Doc said all my numbers were good and the same as last year. I don't think he did the eyechrometer test. Going back tomorrow. Probably going to charge me extra. The one upsale I need.
You either have people like me that drive like the rain is fun. Or people that drive like it’s 4 inches of snow
Wheel bearing wear was never an issue when tapered roller wheel bearings were used. Taper bearings are for low rpm high load. Ball bearings are for high speed and lighter loading. I am a retired engineer who knows such facts.
Hey Ray, that was an interesting repair if not quite frustrating. Great to see you succefully complete it. Cheers!
rough looking rotor
Wow Ford likes to design things that make it nearly impossible to change out without 4 letter words !! All the cars I owned, not Fords, changing the bearings was a matter of removing the axle nut, releasing the CV shaft from the bearing and removing 4 bolts. No need to take apart half the front or back end apart. You got it done Ray, there may or may not have been 4 letter words lol.
