Thanks to Jesse for making the intro and graphic for us to enjoy!!

Thank you for the screw removal tutorial lol
No honda for us.
Good call Ray, we the potential customer enjoy watching your content and we especially enjoy the fact that you try to always educate us on high failure components. Never just a parts cannon.
Thanks I might have a faulty ignition switch, if I'm lucky.
Working under the dash reminds me of a trip to a chiropractor.
People hang heavy keys chains on that causes them to go bad
From now on, mainland China should be called West Taiwan.
Those ignition switches are indeed common failures in Honda's. I've even had it happen to me. I used to love Honda's but they lost me many years ago. I think they're overrated. 👎
Another good job done Ray , thanks for your videos .
Surprised you didn't use a voltmeter to test the faulty switch in situation. Would have taken a couple of minutes. I know this is a common failure but you could have fitted new one , dismantled the faulty part and found a wiring issue elsewhere. Great channel by the way
Hey you popped back on my feed again 🇦🇺ðŸˆâ€â¬›ðŸ˜Ž
Ford windows and seat switches do the same thing, but those can be taken apart, cleaned, greased and good for years more.
Fords have this same issue. Our 09 Fusion did it. The recommended changing out the connecting middle section when I looked it up, but that like tripled the cost so I just did that switch. Been 5 years and still no issues. Simple 20 min fix. Part number interchanged a bunch of Ford vehicles, even pickups.
Sir you’re not just a mechanic, you are a humble Genius.
Taiwan's old name was Formosa, not East China.
I had a blue 2007 Civic just like this!! But mine was a 5 sp. manual. It was really great. Should not have traded that in for the 2018 Civic with the 1.5T engine!! The problems with the 1.5T were not yet known so much when I made that decision. Darn it!! I would have not traded the 2007.
I had a 2003 accord and the key was always hot after driving it around town
I always thought that was odd. Maybe it would have failed eventually due to overheating. Sold it at105k.
I love your taking the parts apart to see what actually failed. You know there is no such thing as an electrical failure. It's always mechanical!
Awesome descriptions thank you
Does scan tool normally show any ignition switch signalling.
I find 80pc of time with any electrical connectors I get to snap them somehow.
I keep an old speaker magnet around to magnetize all my screwdrivers. Hardly EVER drop a screw!
11:04 Taiwan is a country on its own long before Han Chinese migrated there. Please be careful what you say and don’t just parrot what China says, it is disrespectful to Indigenous Taiwanese.
I've had 3 of these and every time the customer insists it's the starter, i did the starter once because the customer insisted i start there, when it didn't fix their problem they finally paid me an hour to diagnose it correctly (would have saved them hundreds if they did that first). the next 2 i refused to touch the starter til i checked ignition switch
1991 civic the tumbler and switch were nicely made in that you can clean and regrease the switch portion, 130k
Thanks. I just ate a whole box of chocolates. I feel sick. Couldn’t stop while watching your show.
logic I think is the word you were looking for Ray.
This is apparently a common problem on Honda’s. My 2006 Honda Accord had this problem twice. Easy to find a replacement part on Amazon 🙂
Thank you for this video.
Great fix…great camera quality!!! What phone are you using??? Top quality on my big screen tv!!!! Great diagnosis!!!!
Hehe, clever little Taiwan joke. Always a pleasure to watch you work and listen to your commentary.
its a common fault same with honda preludes the springs are to weak, you can replace it but in a few years it will happen again, also this arcing courses the main relay solder joint on one of the relays inside it to dry out so you should also re-flow all the joint inside the main relay
Always awesome to watch your troubleshooting skills at work.
As a DIYer of simpler tasks, brakes, starters, coils etc. I am always impressed by your skill set.
THANK YOU for you education.
I have literally spent an hour looking for a bolt or a screw only to find out that it is stuck to the magnet on the bottom of my flashlight on my hip holster or my pocket what the bolt is literally stuck to my pants and I'm searching high and low😂
bro u smart
Super Common problem on Honda's had same issue on a Honda Element, CRV and Civic.
