This is an open source utility I have been working on for years now. It can install, tweak, fix, and control windows updates.

  1. Update 7-7 – Update-Help fixed, the script will no longer get stuck here
Update #2 – Resolved a couple more errors relating to 20H2 and 21H1 it should work for all now.

  2. How did this take several years to develop? Its just got links to your videos on how to remove viruses from the button, all of the other options can be done manually through windows, stop wasting peoples time…

  3. Hi.
I use this right after every windows install I do so thank you very much…
I wonder if there is a way to install Windows Defender?, I made a windows 10 image removing everything but i need Defender and can not find a way to do it…

  4. Hi Chris. Used your Windows utility and another one. Now … all my desktop internet shortcuts say "The application cannot be opened". Tried all the fixes on the internet but still have problem. Can you please help?

  5. Just before minute 11 you say the first thing the script does is create a restore point.
Looking at the script, it appears that this is done at the begining of the script that runs after cliclikng Essential Tweaks

  6. Interesting that it looks like you have PowerShell 7.1

( Look top left in the black window from minute 2 and 41 seconds )

I had to install that to get it, both in windows 10 and windows 11

I just compared your script from this time with that from your first GUI discussed in video

    The Best Windows 10 Toolbox

    from Dec 4, 2020

  8. So you have removed the disable windows search button. But I note that the coding that was behind it is still in the script. That is a large amount of coding. The coding you have in disable Cortana (search) is much less. So wots the deal there?

  9. Thank you. I'm just about to upgrade my computers to Win 11 and I remembered my experience with 10 & your apps & video's helped me through it then & so I've returned for more advice. Thank you again.

  10. A couple of suggestions.

Regarding that, the script is relying on an internet connection for

    _ 1 installing stuff

_ 2 and also for running the proprietary software from O&O which does the Debloating.

_ 3 the script itself is run
    somehow directly across the internet.

These 3 limits its use to when
you are online. I would suggest that is sometimes
    a bit unnecessary.

I will address those 3 points,
if I may, in 3 replies below, since the YouTube anti-spam Bot is a bit aggressive
just now, and tanks most long comments.

(This is then post 1 of 4 that hopefully will

post. If there are not at least 3 replies to this comment, then you know the

    Bot got me again!)

  11. Can anyone point me into the direction of a copy of the actual script used here?

I realize that the script has developed and advanced in the meantime, but it’s for learning purposes as I review the development of the script: I was away for a while and am trying to catch up on the last years stuff.

  12. HI,
I am desperately trying to remove all remnants of Intel Extreme Tuning Utility, its messed with my system and I have been advised to use cmd prompt in admin mode when I have found the locations of the utility on the C drive, I don't know how to do that!
I can see the locations of the intel utility however I am unable to uninstall them, despite knowing exactly where it is on my C drive.

I can get administrative access to the cmd prompt but then i am stuck please help!

  13. Sorry, this script DOES NOT WORK on anyone that is on LTSC as we do NOT have winget built in and we do not have the App Manager on our systems. We need your Chocolatey based script back – this winget script is dead on arrival.

FYI – Winget will NO INSTALL from your script if you do not have App Manager installed, so this is the reason why this does not work for LTSC LTSB users so nothing works on your script as nothing installs/saves.

  14. Hi Chris, I've win 10 boot camp partition on my MacBook pro, and when I tray to run essential tweaks it stocks on creating restore point !!!!!?
Please help me if you have any idea? 💕 🙏

  15. Damn I can't explain how furious I'm right now. But dude I can't even use my browser on my own. Everything in locked. Like Everything. There is a think names as "Managed By Organization" on my browser. If you guys don't wanna get in trouble then please don't use this shit.

  16. Cannot get this to work. Logged in as non-admin – start Powershell as Admin – Toolbox comes up – click Disable Action Center – Current Status and Powershell show Finished, ready for next task. Reboot & Action Center still there. Try to install ImageGlasss – Finished Installing, waiting for next task. Powershell says Installing ImageGlass & does not go back to normal prompt. ImageGlass is not installed. Logout & login as Admin – doesn't work there either. 192 processes running – click Essential Tweaks – reboot – 198 processes running. Go into cmd and type winget –version = 1.12653. Nothing seems to be working – any ideas? Running Win10 Pro 21H1, Bitdefender, Malwarebytes.

  17. after 3 days of use things i noticed are:
My cpu at idle used to run at full speed , however now it runs at lower speed at idle and in full speed while doing task.
Low lags while playing online games such as fortnite.

I have only applied Essential tweaks option and every thing works great. Thumbs up for this project.
