  1. I want you to know that i would not have the confidence to continue to turn wrenches with out your persistence in your daily challenges … I give up way too easily

  2. Hay RAY. Did you know that when BG products first came out that they would put plastic rings of different colors for each of their cans. You would then mail them back and get one dollar for each ring 👍🏻

  3. Absolutely an additive can help. I had a biddy with an 89 blazer that sat for 5 years. It would barely start and if it did you had to constantly feather the gas to keep it running but the second you put a load on it the engine would die. A full can of seafoam in the tank and a half a can sprayed into the intake and allowed to sit overnight and when it finally did fire up it stayed running. Granted it smoked like a bugger but as the seafoam in the intake burned out and gas ran through the system things settled down and it would idle decently. Still low on power but the thing was pretty whipped to begin with so no shock there. Without doing ANYTHING else to it he managed to keep it going for another 25000 kms before the tranny grenaded itself. Never underestimate the power of a mechanic in a can.

  4. BG EPR is an amazing product that produces amazing results! Also the best oil to use after that and is PROVEN to clean is Valvoline Restore & Protect. Great work Ray!

Also REDLINE SI-I fuel injector cleaner has the highest concentration of PEA (the cleaning agent). I like Amsoil and RedLine as they are both AMERICAN 🇺🇸 companies!

  5. Oh oh ! The snake oil even fixed the sound of the exhaust… I wonder what they will sell when all cars will be electric. Probably some kind of pulsion generator with anachronic waves to restore integrity of the electric motors and batteries… 😒

  6. my problem with that "snake oil" stuff is not that its "useless" it has its uses… its that its redundant… at least it is here. I duno about the US, but here its works out far cheaper to just go get decent fuel from like shell or esso.. and if you really wana go for it. get their premium stuff. those fuels include a lots of the detergents and additives that those cleaners have.

though you don't wana be going too crazy with oil cleaners on an older engine, weak seals with carbon basically doing the seals job?

  7. nice. Your clean up of the block and the fuel system made it run better. Engines like to be kept running. Sitting for a long time make them run badly until all the crud gets cleaned out. Great video. Thanks

  8. Ray I enjoy your informative videos, I learn from them.
That is why I watch them, why get caught up in all the crap out there negativity is out there dragging everything down.
Don’t subscribe to it follow your path not theirs.

  9. 10 years ago I bought a 7.3 f250 with 250k on it. It had a sticky injectors and we were told that the injectors needs to be replaced. We could not afford it at the time.
A product was recommended by our repair shop. It was not cheap. I told him I would give it a try. For the next 7 years every time I changed the oil I put some more in. We ended up getting almost another 2000k out of it before the injectors just had to be charged…
Some of the stuff is not worth the $$, some of the stuff is worth every penny and then some.

  10. Logic would say that if the fuel filter was a large issue, it'd be affecting all the cylinders, not just one. The only way I can think of logically that it would be a fuel issue to one of the cylinders is if it's the injector for that cylinder.

  11. Appreciate your efforts on this one without thinking new engine req’d.
I just commented on DavesAUtoCentreCentresville – YouTube short video – Toyota needs a snorkel – I would’ve thought your proposals re cleaning / flushing would’ve been a candidate for that one / their diagnosis – new engine!

  12. Is it okay to drive with EPR in the engine for a few miles after letting it idle for 20+ minutes at high rpm, lets say to the shop to get the oil changed?

  13. An old mechanic / used car dealer I knew used to put a cup of toluene into the oil of some cars a week before servicing them to clear up PCV system for improved running.
