this 1961 vw samba 23 window bus was left on a farm for over 50 years, the farm then sold to become conservation land but any none natural things needed to be removed. they contacted the local vw club and then contacted me. so myself and Jason {5150mxvw on youtube} set out to recover what we could.

  1. I had a 23 window VW bus as my first car. Same color too. I bought while in the Army. I bought it on base. It had no gas gauge. I had a lever under the drivers seat to pull when it started to run out of gas. Sadly the gas line leaked onto the engine and it burned up on the highway. Fun bus, I used to fish out of the slideable roof while straddling the seat.

  2. I miss the man who put that van there. I found out about this video today from the land conservation meeting. He was a hard working man and the fact he couldn’t got it working tells me it was a lost cause 50 years ago!! Thanks for documenting this removal with love – A neighbor to this farm
