  1. And I noticed the replacement part comes with brand new bolts. So did they strip the glass mechanic? Did they like maybe strip out? The holes in that thing. And because when a manufacturer sends new bolts, that's just awesome. But yeah, I'm just wondering.

  2. Great. Quick question, why does it appear that there are aluminum or metal shavings falling with every bolt that you remove? Is that normal? Out of the back of that transmission. Or I should say the engine itself, the block out of the engine?

  3. Noodle arms, lol. I remember the old style rear main seal can be replaced without removing the trans., drop the pan, remove the rear main bearing cap, pull the old seal out (wick type) and fish new wick around bearing journal and cut the wick to fit. Reinstall bearing cap, oil pan and fill with oil and hope the new seal does not leak, there is a 30% chance of failure and I had a couple. I was just a kid when they fazed out of the old style. WOW, you did all that work in under an hour, not, lol. Good flat rate work there. Haha.

  4. Yeah i feel like i am right there helping u with transmission i feel u ray about having 🍜 noodle arms. 😊😊😊 i also feel at peace, then watching negative news on tv. Please ray cut back on coffee with suger drink a lot of water stay away from star bucks drinks

  5. Ive done this on the side ofthe road in phx az 115 degress with Taiwanion tools…😢 😢 ❤❤3 days later I promised Id never EVER do it again 😮😮😮

  6. I want to watch one of you videos with you sounding like a chickmonk loaded up on helium. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Love your videos keep up the good work.

  7. Noddle arms? Do all of that with hand tools. Air and battery powered tools are a blessing, but, except for a 1/2 and a 3/4 impacts, I did not have any air ratchets much less battery powered ratchets and impacts in the 70s to 90s.

My father is 88 years old and still working full time as a farmer. He invested in battery powered tools a couple of years ago and loves them. A lot easier than dragging an air hose around.

  8. Just did a motor swap on a ‘14 silver-a-da 5.3L and as per required by the tag on the motor we were supposed to use thread SEALANT on the flex plate bolts which I though was weird as well but we did as we were told lol

  9. I do love vans, they are just the perfect all purpose machines..I've had the 5.3 and have the 6.0, but they are such a pain to work on..I think curved space time is a little extra curved by your shop…A little extra gravity..Your far better than me, you make it look easy..

  10. Like your attitude as to not take advantage of the public, you Eric and Wizard, watch your videos every chance, good deal, bet that Hawaii van didn't have rust underneath!

  11. Great pair of videos on the same kind of van I just got (with over 230,000miles on it) I REALLY like the oil pickup tube O ring tip ! Mine's probably due. One thing I am curious about, install a rear main seal with just hand pressure & no $100 install tool?
    ~C~

  12. Sorry Ray, I refuse to install Dorman parts. I will only do it with the understanding that there will be 0 warranty period! I have been bit too many times by Dorman to use their parts with any confidence. Your results apparently have been better than mine.
