I picked up this 1997 dodge ram 1500 that was used for plowing. did not run and has a host of issues. lets see if we can make it a useful plow truck once again.

Not that anyone will ever read this comment, but the two bolts with washers on them are supposed to go on either end of the case, only those two are supposed to have washers. I believe they go into the same spot the metal dowels are in. 16:34
Get an induction heating coil that fits over nuts!
I've heard of vapor phase lubrication…but this is rediculous! Ha Ha
Did you give up on using the rusty shit box and hire someone instead? Good video.
What a battle. I would have been cussing and swearing and probably thrown the tools on the ground and quit lol. You have WAY more patience than I do DarrenðŸ‘
I'm not sure unless you put the two pieces together first on the pump before you installed it came out in two pieces……
I don’t think there was any fluid in it.

They always leave one or two out of a set. The couple they leave out costs as much as the set.
Your "16mm" bolt was more likely 5/8".
You are supposed to shift while the vehicle is in motion.
Input and output seals?
First time I’ve ever seen someone try to do this while the case is still in the truck.
If ever there is a next owner of this truck, it would be super fun to see that person try to take the transmission out with the welded transmission mount! 😀
its snowing rust
have fun
ðŸ‘👌ðŸ‘
When you put the putty knife in the case it looked like you stabbed the hamster that lived in the case.
When you were trying to remove the rubber line where the clamp broke, the metal line going into the steering gear looked like it was loose in the housing.
It does sound good. 😆🤣 Not bad for a plow truck! It should get the job done. Thanks for the video Darren. ðŸ‘
What's that clunck?😅
Lucky the engine stopped running. Mine the transfer case locked up and ripped itself off the transmission
wd40 man.
Your 4×4 shifter doesn't go straight back like a Ford. If you just look at the ball, you can see that you must pivot RIGHT- and then down to go into 4Low.
Did you replace the chuck on the shift fork rod that has the spring? If you look at the video when you pulling it out i think you dropped it.
