Seems like that ptu had a good time😂
Glad to see the police are supporting your business… I know some might be unhappy with you for taking care of the police cruiser because they hate the police which is really sad in my opinion. As for me I'm glad to see you taking care of that cruiser. Keep up the good work. I value the police because they are the ones who watch out for all of us.
U are a dumb turd . You said it’ needed to be done quickly . Then you just won’t shut up
have you not learned arod is one of those that you don't put on speaker right off lol
don't most police dept's have their own fleet maint. or get service at the dealer? and to have k-9 actually spelled out on the hood vs K-9 is strange and makes me wonder if this is a retired cop car run by a security outfit or something
You wouldn't lie to law enforcement or would you?
Dave should have looked at you in the police car, and then sprint for the fence!🤣🤣🤣
Ford originally said the PTU wasn't serviceable.. after many failures they now say every 30k miles.. there are a couple versions of the PTU, some have a little vent tube stickinh out the top, so you can extend that hose up to near the master, then you can gravity fill the 600ml of liquid.. I just got a '15 Taurus PIS, and I have this service to do, its a PITA for sure
That is the vehicles Licences reader, I think it's. On the hood.
Don't bother with the turn signal Ray. The bastards never use them anyways.
So cool to see your just a few miles from me i know where to go if i need some work done
That was very premature fluid release
Banks module is best.
Those Explores take a beating most other vesicles can not and think millions and millions out there in police alone plus they go very very well in snow up north have a 3.5 twin turbo Sport myself and it will outrun 98 percent of stuff out there (ask me how I know)lol very fun to drive —cop Explorers even run better never try out run one, my Pa. state cop neighbor said too many underestimate how quick and fast they are.
That suction pump also stops all the fluid from getting onto the rxhaust pipes, very professional.
Explains why the dept has you setvice their vehicles , well done !
Ol cop saying we used in my day of running uncle Sam's units, you may outrun my car, but you will not outrun my motorola! 32 years before manditory retirement, been on retirement 28 years . Way more electronics than we had !!!!
Miles on odometer is always waaaay short of engine miles!
I'm not law enforcement but if I was I would be pulling people over all day. Nothing irritates me more than when people mistake my Tahoe as a police vehicle on the highway and drop from 80mph to 50mph and it's in any lane you get in even on the expressway.
It's like really move out the way or speed up I have things I need to get done
Back in 1984, I was worked as an auto instrument tech here in Australia. This was a time where cars still had mechanical speedos. I was often tasked with fine calibration of police speedos and certification of both the speedo in the dash and the witness speedo on the passenger side on the VH Commodore police cars.
After refitting the speedo I would have to take the cop car for a drive and OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, the sense of power…
People would actually stop at a stop sign, no one would pass me, no one would cut me off. The force was with me when I was test driving those cop cars. Mind you, these were the days before the woke clown world where people actually respected police.
Those patches are cringe.
I just found this OI realize it is a few months old but wouldn't .6 quarts be 19.2 Oz? either way love the videos from back when you were at that shop with the awful phone ringer in shop. I need to do a filter change , band adjust on a 2000 Dodge 46RE any suggestion how to remove and replace as much fluid as possible without a fluid exchange machine? Previous owners used ATF instead of ATF+4 when it was low like 2-3 quarts as it had a leak in line to the optional tranny cooler
Well Hot Dang!!! I had absolutely no idea that RainmanRay is in MY backyard!! I saw the @ManateeSheriff and the Palmetto Gun Show sign and followed your route on the 'before' test drive… Local hero!!
I find this vehicle odd…. full on police gear. No identifying branch of law enforcement markings. It is obviously not undercover. It does say K9 Unit, and Crime Unit. Most branches of law enforcement have a fleet services that they use. The very odd thing is the Arizona License plate…. what gives?
FORDTECHMAKULOCO is an absolute authority to ford vehicels. i learned from him how to do my ptu. the early ones had no drain plug. but they all have a fill plug i believe. anywho, i used my drain plug to drain and then did what arod said and used the vent on top to fill, same thing makuloco teaches. but you need to extend with a piece of new hose up to the master cylinder. then, future changes are a breeze. you can modify old ones and add a drain plug, but most of those are probably out of service at this point. this was a seal unit from ford originally, so they were burning out left and right. then ford had some crazy change interval on the newer ones like 150,000 miles. makuloco recommends 30k for years now. they only hold 1 pint of fluid if memory serves. the newest ones have an added cooler.
Do American cars have the same fuel indicators as europe? Where the triangle points to which side the tank is.
Hey Ray, when the Po Po see this video, they’re never gonna come back to you for service. You’re supposed to be working on this thing, and you’re touching all the buttons, computer, ect…I’m sure they’re not gonna be to happy.
Ray.
Sorry to point out but I think you put too much oil in the PTU.
You measured it correctly in the bottle but failed to consider & incorporate the amount of oil that was charged in the hose.
Therefor you did actually added more fluid than is required?
Don't police have their own mechanics and workshops?
ROMANTIC ride in the canine unità cop car, lol
The irony of a cop having a "Don't Tread on Me" patch in his car.
Hey Ray .6 of a quart is 19.2 oz, you made that way too hard, not criticism, just trying to aid you in your excellent journey
You would think they would put a lil padding or cushion in the back for the dog being tossed around with hard acceleration and braking
Ray, at 10:58…what do you mean by flare shifting?
Never realized the police interceptor has a column shift…makes sense , console shifter wont fit with all the computer items
youd think cops would have their own shops that they bring their vehicles not some shop that hasnt been open for less then a year
I cant believe people watch this stuff, u had 25min of bs before u even did anything
A Rod had no freaking clue what u were talking about lol
I recall a fable about a Dutch boy with his finger in a dyke…
3:03 Is that a damn pedal commander???
Cool video……! Hey I worked at American Aluminum as a Tig Welder and welded in the K9 department here in Perry!
I had to leave because junction boxes fires were working there way from my welding machine towards the mains.
I had nothing but problems outta there electrical infrastructure.
They never would fix the problem….my machine was always cutting off with a help1 code displayed on the machine
They decided to add millions of dollars in fab equipment and not upgrade there electrical.
Gave me a headaches for 3 of my 6 years working there.
I welded floor pans,Built and welded the center petition between the prisoner and officer and k9.
I love your channel….If your ever in need of a good mechanic or welder I'm available.
cool to see law enforcement using pedal commanders. by the radio @3:08
Ray what did your wife think when the police car pulled into the yard
Ray explain the 1969 dodge charger rt that's orange plz
Holy shit look at those stickers, it's illegal for cops to have those btw
When I drained my PTU only 8ozs came out when It calls for 18 ozs and it was like nasty diesel oil. Original fluid at 74k on a police taurus. I flushed it with atf seafoam and oil twice then ran it for 5k miles and swapped oil again and it was just as bad. It needs a heat shield from the cat.
I installed a check valve in my wife's 13 taurus ppv to fill it through the drain valve.
