  1. Huge fan of the channel! But why are you guys killing your come alongs raking the gravel? lol it’s all good. I work for the City of New York and we give our concrete guys asphalt rakes for that.

  2. Maybe try a protein shake for breakfast. It’s fast, filling, supports your fitness goals, lots of flavors to choose between and keep the variety up so you don’t get bored. There are tasty and high quality ones out there if you research

  3. You are doing it wrong on the bobcat. I just had to say it now.
You have to take a full even scoop, bring it to the far end of the driveway, spread it in reverse and leave everything maybe half an inch too high.
Then you grade it going forward , you just go slow and you’ll have a perfect grade after one pass. I usually spread all gravel without tracking over it, then grade the whole thing in one precise pass. Many ways to do it of course, but always grade in forward.
The result will be better and faster then any rake could ever do.
Like i could grade those driveways out way faster then you and way better then your guys on the rake.
You throw the gravel down high, then shave it off in one single pass.
Pack it in, shave it off one more time, repeat = perfection.
I can spread a full load in half an hour no problem, give me 1 hour it will be absolutely flawless. I’ll carry a load 700 feet down the driveway, it will be as thin as a single layer of rocks!
Your guys could be doing all the other things while you are doing that, just has to happen in the manner described above.
    Always grade going forward.
Reverse is not for grading, it’s for spreading. An operator doesn’t spread the gravel, he will be grading it!
It all takes practice, but spreading in reverse is a really bad habit, born out of necessity when the skill level was too low to even attempt grading forward. Don’t stick to such habits.
The machine has a perfect 6 foot steel rake right on it, it can do a better and faster job then 10 men with rakes and shovels.
In the hands of an operator of course.
Just need to keep the big rake at grade, not difficult once you get the hang of it.
I can’t stand watching someone rake while there is a perfectly good bobcat in front of that man!
I’ve done gravel driveways as smooth as your concrete pads, rakes are absolutely useless if you have a bobcat.

  4. Alright Ryan are you intentionally doing the intro split when picking up your cat and setting it down to throwing your trash in seen like your throwing you cat in the trash?

  5. You should tell Ray to be a little more aggressive with them yard workers at the dumps and Gravel pits they don't care about your equipment the driver should watch out for that stuff he's a great guy but doesn't seem like he's good with confrontation.

  6. Man I’m re-watching this pour and I forgot to like the video the first time. You guys are interesting and seem like fun to be with while working.

  7. I’m also addicted to these videos, I’m an Australian and have a week away in Sydney I live in Victoria an hour drive from Melb, so I’m catching up on videos I’ve missed. Love your work.

  8. This is the type of contractor that lets the concrete dry up in the shoots and then tells you not to use a lot of water to clean them out 😂. Ask for. 6 1/2 let it dry 15 more mins call it a day and work faster
