Today we have received a late summer surprise on the farm! A Dexter calf was born well after our normal calving season has ended. Also today, we have to begin the monumental task of sorting our herd for cattle breeding season.
Note:
-We do not offer farm tours or accept visitors
-We do not sell from the farm
-We do not ship our farm’s products
-We do not sell live animals

This is the only channel on YouTube that I've seen, including about 50 other farm channels, in which the comments section is so extremely grateful, understanding, and at times spiritual! I'm writing this three years after Pete made this episode. He's now just about to kick in the door marked half a million subscribers. I'll bet my next social security check that at least 95% are, like me, watching the subscriber numbers reach new heights. Pete, you're quite simply the guru of the small family farms that most of us experienced in our youth! Rooting for you~~~Jeff from CT

This may be the finest of your videos that I have seen (and I am quite sure that I have missed many of them).
But your honest way of discussing the jobs that your animals do is comprehensive and quite reasonable.
I am not a farmer (if that matters).
Thank you.
It’s at 311,000. Growing so fast!
I am exhausted looking at you guys work
I've been watching your videos for awhile I have a question why do you butcher your heifers instead of selling them ive seen slaughter cows going for 2 or 3 grand at empire livestock in bath

Are Dexter cows useful as dairy cows?
Puhi
My husband’s family is from Iowa and we’re Hog farmers
You guys have more of a human way of raising your animals Them most farmers. Dairy farmers in NY take the newborns away from the !others right away.Causing alot.of health issues!
Good lord, those hens just kept on a’coming
does anyone wonder alan alda (and his favorite writers) took to farming .. ?
Rush hour at the hen pen
