I was talking with a friend about old tractors when he mentioned a neighbor had one under his house. we went and took a look. well it turns out it was homemade out of 30s ford parts. we struck up a deal and dragged it out with my 1959 vw single cab, lets see what it will take to bring it back to life,

Thought the fins on the flywheel were facing to be spun clockwise.
The color of wheel workhorse
Put the flywheel on for spark
Excited for you guys tomorrow
I had a motor once that had the outside points took the guts out and put a coil from a car on it add a battery and it ran fine for years
I’m just gonna say it. Your electrical troubleshooting is lacking. You do not seem to know what you are doing
Ahh the good ol' 60s.That tarp cover shows that Out of sight out of mind isn't new.If you can't see it don't worry about it.

Hello fella. Let me tell you something, being a hammer mechanic is not the ticket, PERIOD !! AT least you used a brass hammer, I can forgive you Mustie1. Just take a blow torch and heat around the tapered shaft for about a half a minute or so and do what you are doing and it will pop off instantly. Many times you do not even need to pry with a bar either. Was taught by an old mechanic when I was 10 years old.
The coils in the old B and S did not hold up well at all. I rewound a many with great success.
Excitable Puppy! Interesting magneto. Never saw one like that.
I love the vw pick up
have fun
My 1970 International Cub Cadet has that starter generator. The engine is a 10 horse Kohler. It has that same gas tank.
Pretty sure it's a SEARS ECONOMY,WHICH MODEL NOT SURE, don't believe it's HOMEMADE.
Looks a lot like a SEARS ECONOMY TRACTOR TO ME.
Economy Power King
I really love the visual of that thing in the back of Crusty.
Cheap Fix: Briggs and Stratton Coil Conversion
a family heirloom for sure
Small engine guys. What's the most you can raise compression on a 3 horsepower stock air cooled engine without losing dependability or longevity?
Can you say, "WD-40?
What a beautiful VW! Awesome patina! And you're another NH Youtuber!
Hey Mustie , you noreasters need to quit breeding mice, they seem to be ruining all the cool shit you've got up there!
Ola amigos yo soy de México me encantan sus vÃdeos mucho ése tractor es una relikia ermoso para mà es como un tesoro muy bien amigo sigan adelante
How can you get spark without the flywheel?
Do you not need the flywheel on to create the flux in the coil?.
You can get that coil rewound , look round.
Tous la même maladie ,l'isolant en brai ne fait plus son office donc moi je remplace le bloc par du BRIGGS STATTON plus facile à trouver (un ajustage a la lime s'impose)
Reminds me of when my cousin built a dragster in the basement of his house.
Have you ever connected a 9 or 12 volt battery to a condenser to test if it's taking charge, by-pass the magneto?
Engine is from a 1940s homelite generator I got the generator everything is exactly the same.
Just rewind and pot the coil! haha that would be a fun challenge
Are you spinning the motor the wrong way?
Make a sequel video for the tractor, I would like to see if you get it running
Dog's getting fat. The original plans to build that same tractor are available on the net.
Stumbled on this channel, Love it!!!!!!,
have you tried making a dozer or some heavy machines?
Put a five – six horse diesel engine on it. They are $250 on ebay. Nice lil engine.

I built a lot of these tractors when I was a kid mainly used Wisconsins they were more common back in the 50s I have over 60 years as a blacksmith most common thing with that ignition is the condenser more so than coil condensers get waterlogged especially stored away in some damp place for years brings back a lot of old memories as I got older I built little British cars with big American V8s as a side note want to mention be careful blowing all that stuff around specially that rodent crap use a Shop-Vac along with your air enjoy your video restore that old stuff that's when we used a lot of ingenuity and skills have a good one Edmund
Don't give up,u'll get it! I've watched ur videos to long; u can do it! Rick.Mary Arkansas!
I wonder if the mice that make nests in these engines are the trailer trash version of the rodent world? I could see these engines as manufactured housing on a small scale.
Fork lifts are awesome! Just plain old awesome!

I think you need to get you a bigger winch. But I’m sure you know that but I do like that lawn more Or whatever it is I turn into a mud buggy
esa bobina se puede rehacer muy fácilmente (cortandola simétricamente. contado la espiras y el grosor e cable y bobinar.- Es común re-hacer esas unidades, por lo menos aqui en un paÃs subdesarrollado como Argentina.-
Put the flywheel on to get spark. Because it has the magnets to power the coil.
Rewinding coils is not so difficult, just count the windings as they come off.
