I love the interior work….love to see it start to finish.
Good stuff, thx for sharing from Wyoming :-]
I actually enjoyed this episode of the sound deadening install. I’ve actually been thinking about doing this with my jeep WJ.
Man. If I could count the times I gave said “well, since I am in here I might as well replace……â€
Being bold and brave is all well and good Ray. But caution is also a habit to uphold. If that was mold as you thought, then blowing it around wasn't a good idea. The last thing you want to be doing is inhaling mold spores. They can effect the upper respiratory tract. A mask is a must when dealing with mold.
Beautiful job done Ray the Jeep is looking well ðŸ‘ðŸ‘♥ï¸â™¥ï¸
@robertdouglas5433 all of your videos are interesting. never seen this done before
It's a boat anchor, Ray…
Great new content, keep up coming up with new stuff to show us young and learning souls. Or old and grumpy gits, whichever one prefers. 😀
Love the interior refurb as it’s different from the norm. I can’t watch too much of the same content like when there are a few vids of brake slap jobs. I skips some look for other content then jump back to the vids I skipped at later date. This series is ace can’t wait for end result
Used to do this kind of stuff for a living using Dynamat. We ALWAYS used a heat gun to warm it up before using the roller. You get better adhesion. It also forms around curves a lot better.
Ray you are just as bad as me when it comes to my own vehicles. I'm just going to fix this one thing and next thing you know I have disassembled the entire thing and it has become a full blown rebuild & restoration project.
I Believe your talking about the factory Seam Sealer but not sure why it has so much unless they are using it for Factory sound deadening ?
Would've been scared to spray brake clean on the paint. The departure from your regular videos is actually nice. It's sort of like watching one of those poopy jobs type deals. No one wants to go through the trouble to do it but man is it satisfying to watch.
Question, Ray, what would you do if all the companies stopped making brake kleen?
Never seen it before and intriguing
no worries Ray, went down the same rabbit hole myself on my EVO3 machine pre-covid days, quite an ASMR experience i do declare 😂
It's all part of maintaining and improving your vehicle. Good content. Nice to see what all is involved and carries over to pretty much any vehicle. Go with your instincts! It's working!
Oh god Ray………. To think this all started with replacing a headliner. Unfortunately this is not the kind of project you can rush and once you start it's bound to take off in different directions. I have experience with this especially that sound deadening stick on insulation. Painful process. I ordered a roll of that to put under the carpet in the trunk of my wifes KIA optima. I had noticed a lot of the roar noise came through the trunk . Next thing you know I did the entire trunk all surfaces inside. Worked well. Next thing you know I did the firewall behind the dash board. That stuff is addictive but it works really well at killing noise. As far as putting a replacement rug in your truck…..Since it's a working truck I would have not put a regular rug in it. Back years ago I remember if you didn't want a rug you didn't have to order one. I also know that Gov military vehicles don't come with a rug. Instead I think I would have ordered and installed a rubber rug if that what they call it. I was restoring a 2000 Nissan that had a terrible rug so I pulled it out and installed a rubber replacement. Because the vehicle was a 2000 they no longer made the mat so I had to order a bulk roll. Newer vehicles you can buy a replacement that's form fitted. They're especially popular for trucks. Instead of worrying about getting your rug dirty they work well because you can clean them with a rag and a bottle of window cleaner.
Ok well …..good luck with this project Ray. Hope to see when you're all done.
Looks good Raymond 39:58 @Rainman Ray's Repairs

What happened to Troy ?? 😮
I find this types of videos interesting and educational. Please continue with it sir.
I like 👠50 – 50 👎interesting and 🥱 not something that I would subscribe to.
I can't say it's the most interesting video I've watched of yours, but it was highly educational. And I value that more than entertainment. I, like you, always love to learn. The truck is looking good sir.ðŸ‘ðŸ‘
Good content, thank you.
Wow, I have a 2004 Sierra 2500HD crew cab and I pulled my headliner because the the very same problem. I also had a leak from the top of the windshield. I pulled out the top of the dash and all the seats as well. After watching I decided NOT to pull the carpet because I did not want to replace all the insulation.
I remember some old guy I met, was living in his van and had wanted it to be completely restored, everybody would just ask why he didn't buy a new one? Though it was an 80s style van
