a fellow subscriber contacted me about this fold up engine powered scooter that was sitting in a garage for over 40 years, he got it when buying a 2 wheel tractor, the owner was cleaning out and offered it to him, he in turn offered it to us to see if we can bring it back to life. lets see how it goes and why it was put away in the 1st place.

  1. The number of air cooled engines I cleaned mouse debris from is like literally everyone I ever worked on. Even the engines that do not have mouse debris still have air stopping debris that has to be cleaned out. This is the most important thing for an air cooled engine, PERIOD !!!!
I like this engine since it has the special alternator built right in the flywheel with two small coils right next to the ignition coil. The Clinton engines are just bullet proof, rich oil mix, clean air filter, straight dinosaure gas and you are ready to ROLL.

  2. This can be seen in "Assassin of Youth" the anti marijuana movie /PSA. The town gossip can be seen riding thru town on it shouting the latest gossip..

  3. Dude I had one of these back in the early 80s! It would only go about 20 mph but it sure beat walking. After awhile the cops kept giving me a hard time for riding it, but it had open exhaust so it could of been neighbors complaining too. Great video, brought back a good memory! Thanks

  4. Hi Justine I'm a mechanic I'm not a smart ars just very observant I'm just over half hour in and I've noticed you said 7 o'clock yet when you were setting up the points the love was at more like 5 o'clock I hope you figure it out by the end of the vid I'll keep watching😊

  5. Well you are officially my hero on this project I couldn't believe you got it up and running but the crowning glory was when u bunnies corded the fuel tank to the rear wheel of your truck with nuts in it to break up the rust.. friggin genius 😅 thanks for the giggle

  6. Hi Mustie any chances of telling us how you got the clutch freed up. I have the same problem with my Suitcase bike. Really appreciated here back. Thanks John

  7. Love the CVT and spring-loaded pulley mechanic of this thing. The CVT confused me at first as it had no counterpart, until you showed how the pulley moves haha

  8. Have you ever thought about finding someone to restore some of these old vintage finds you always coming across?
There ought to be someone local that you could partner with that could bring these machines back to almost new after you get them running again.
I think so many of the rare forgotten things you guys find should be restored and put into a museum.

  9. This is a 1960's Centaur FS-2 folding motor scooter by American Motor Scooter Corporation I remember my uncle buying 1 for my cousin in the mid 60's I did ride it they were cool at the time.
