My Day Selling at the Farmers Market

Today I’m packing up our products and spending a day at the farmers market. I’ll show you how I set up our booth and how we sell our products, as well as giving you a tour of the Ithaca farmers market. I’ll explain the farmers market rules and different fees, and what the experience of selling at the farmers market is like.

Note:
-We do not offer farm tours
-We do not ship our farm’s products

  1. Hi pete another informative video you are a natural always good to see someone from america and the way they live say hi to hilary hope thats the way you spell it greetings from australia 👍👍👍

  2. I used to work for a bank heading a team training people in customer service, and i must say you understand it better than most people do. And the most important thing for me was making eye contact, smiling and remaining pro-active on the customer's behalf, the things you seems to have a lot of……………………

  3. Big farmer market look busie I always want to run business at farmer market, where is this market please provide more information on your description and what is the name of farmer market thank you.

  4. All kidding aside, the market is a nice comfortable place and it looks like it draws good traffic. That said, it's nice to have a place like that to go to and have reasonable assurance the products you produce will find buyers. After all, if you don't attract buyers for you product you don't get the money to stay in the farming business. I'm guessing it's a hard way to make a good income and the best part it lets you do the work, you enjoy doing.

  5. That was a great video. We also sell at the farmers market and totally relate to your pains. Signage with good bold lettering has helped to inform the customers what we sell and bright tablecloths as well. Keep smiling and the good work you do.

  6. I'm curious about what you said that you can't sell anything that you process yourself. But in another video you said as you were filling a cooler with whole chickens that you said you butchered the day before. So do you butcher your own chickens to sell or have them butchered?

  7. Hi I’m Kevin from California but currently living on Cambodia, have you thought of working with the food vendors so they sell your eggs and meat?

  8. Beautiful eggs! A coworker of mine brings his in-laws’, farm fresh eggs in and sells them at a real bargain. I always grab a couple of dozen. That bright, healthy orange yolk is worth it.

  9. I just went to the Hartville Ohio Farmer market yesterday. I had a few dollars on me but ran out of money and stated using my card. Is it best to carry cash at places like these, to help out the vendor and or be able to deal a little bit?

  10. Peter, I really enjoy watching your videos. I'm saddened that your business is suffering because of covid. I hope things get better soon. Farms like yours are a national treasure. Good luck and God bless 🙏.
