Adam Kinzinger is a U.S. representative (R-Ill). He is one of two Republicans to serve on the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol. Kinzinger served in the Air Force and continues to serve as a pilot in the Air National Guard.
This interview was conducted by the Kirk Documentary Group’s Mike Wiser for FRONTLINE on May 18, 2022. It was filmed for a forthcoming documentary, “Lies, Politics and Democracy.”

Hearing words like immigrant, transgender, communist, feminist , woke and others, we rally, to our dormant fear and predjudice and take action. Only to make fools of ourselves. This time, this epoch, this awakening should be recognized by Americans as a time to appreciate former President Obama's "teachable moments". There is much to be gathered from the events we have been going through as a nation and individuals. Fate, kismet, chance has brought us to the precipice of disaster and rallied us back (temporarily) to our senses. Mental health and education must be priorities in the future of our. The absence of wisdom has been woefully evident and will lead us into worse predicaments in the future.
