I am getting exhausted with the flex puns on this one but it’s time to flex some creativity and save this lady some money on replacing the front pipe. At any rate come along as I swap out a broken flex pipe on a 2019 Ford Flex.
-Enjoy!

  1. I am more concerned with 4 year old Flex needing this flex section replaced! My is just is just failing, after 13 years, in rust belt!

  2. Thank you for posting this. Can you point out or reply back as to where the catalytic converter is on that exhaust system or more so for that particular vehicle.

  3. You sure you don't have an iron workers union card? Actually welding pipe is hard because of it being round and the smaller the pipe the harder it is . Add to that where the pipe is and you did great. Or at least good enough for welds that will probably only ever be seen by you. The next time the car is on the lift you'll look at your work and think, damn I'm good .

  4. That’s a damn good job. It’s neat , clean and looks air tight. My only comment is that I hope you would consider getting coverings for your arms just so you can protect yourself a little better, but otherwise I would be very happy to have that work done on my car.

  5. Eric,
When you're arc welding what settings do you use and what and what arc welder do you use.
You have probably heard this question before but I would like to hear it again.
    Thank you in advance.

  6. I’ve been welding high pressure pipe and welding platforms offshore in the Gulf of Mexico and I think you’re a very good welder so don’t knock your skills. You’re the man

  7. Nice to see that performance 2 1/2"flare at the tail pipe. THAT was the Cool part !! Gonna let Elon Mush of your welding skills too. You could be going to the moon !

  8. Having lived up north until I was around 21, I really don’t miss all that rust and having my car rot apart in front of me. I can’t believe a 2019 looks that bad. I have a 2017 Camaro SS and it still looks brand new underneath and all around. I guess it’s another nice thing about living in the south, especially if you have an expensive vehicle

  9. Eric O. Must have asbestos arms or something! Sure as eggs are eggs, I'd be covered in burns trying to MIG up an exuaust up overhead light that! 😮 It's only really my hands and fingers that are asbestos, I inherited that from my granny – she was a cook and could pull a tray out of an oven without oven gloves! My arms however? Made of some thin flammable plastic material 😂😂😂

  10. Having grow up in Midwest and being a mechanic I don’t miss the rust . Moved to west coast in 1976 and the couldn’t believe how long vehicles live rust free. Great vids and long live the automotive repair professionals.
