10. These aren't fake accents. These are the accents of people who grew up in English speaking areas in cities (to a smaller extent in towns). Just because some people did not, it does not mean speaking in a comprehensible manner with proper grammar is fake. If people actually visited some of those areas, they'd understand why. Please go to some of the higher income neighbourhoods in Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore etc. You'd find even 5-6 year old children who primarily speak English. Good God, speaking proper English in this country is treated like a crime. People come out of the woodwork due to their own insecurities.
