The third and final episode of the series brings the story up to the present.
“Delay,†part three of “The Power of Big Oil,†investigates how, even as the warnings about climate change grew, the U.S. reemerged as one of the world’s biggest oil and gas producers, and the fossil fuel industry worked to delay the transition to renewable energy sources — including by promoting natural gas as a cleaner alternative. But as the country was entering a gas boom, a former Exxon Mobil engineer tells FRONTLINE that the industry wasn’t monitoring for methane leaks that could turbo-charge the climate crisis.
As it brings the Big Oil series to a close, “Delay†unpacks the Obama, Trump and Biden administrations’ actions on climate change; explores what may happen next; and examines what’s at stake.

Stop please, the entire documentary is based on a premise, we have methane leaks in the infrastructure… its an easy fix.
Has anyone considered this. " What happens when you remove the oil from a running engine?" It ceases up because there's nothing to regulate the friction and heat. So saying that what happens when you extract all the oil from the earth?. I dread to think of the impact of a ceased up world core.

Our “civilization†here in America was deliberately hand-crafted to be as dependent as possible on fossil fuels in order to function in as many places as possible. Without it you can barely get to work without sacrificing a massive amount of personal time and energy, and due to wage stagnation, your time has become less and less valuable of a resource for you to exchange for the life blood of civilization, money. So under this current regime we working class Americans get:
-Very little free time
-Not enough money to meet our needs
-A dependency on industries that are killing our environment
-A slow decline in mental health across the board as stress and problematic situations continuously arise without our ability to facilitate them
