It was a 165 pound counterweight over the rear axle
came back to comment to say well done for finishing it mate!
Yess! Wtg Mustie ðŸ‘ðŸ¾
If you prime the fuel pump it almost always works.
I was told by a new Yorker that even our coastal cars (I live in the PNW) have less rust than your inland cars. But I'm sure the fact that we don't salt our roads plays a part in that.
neet
I like it
Love the wheels/tires. Also love the straight 6 !!!!
A new starter with a big STOP sign? A GO sign is the thing to shop for… I'm 2 years late finding this resto, but, hey… Seriously cute truck.
All in all Sweet I LOVE IT
Every episode brings back NIGHTMARES of situations gone BAD !!! 😂 I get to "Re-live" some of my past experiences through Mustie !!! ðŸ‘😉
I think that those wheels suit the truck better than the originals
The only thing I disagree with you on is changing the engine out for a V8. Those little straight 6's are so awesome, they are almost built proof little torque monsters. I personally love them, okay they aren't going to win any races, but they will never let you down.
I agree with you, those deep slots look great on the back of the truck, and I would definitely put air shocks on the rear! So cool!
That my friend is a fine candidate for a 289
I am a west coast guy. I have owned both the econoline van and the truck. That truck looked good. Untill you got under it. That's way more metal work then I would want to do. Anything can be fixed, and I'm sure it will look good when your done. But for a southern California guy I would find something a bit better.
It looked so much better with the factory wheels.
mustie would you do a video on faulty appliances i recently repaired space heater ,i think very common issue
I think if it were mine I would decked out the trailers for slotted wheels to then you’re going to have it. Same type of rims though
What's up
Hi
You have your comments shut off on the 3rd episode. So if you read this taking manifold bolts out if you heat it up and put beeswax on the bolts the beeswax will suck into your manifold and you can avoid breaking off the studs. Learn to beeswax trick about 50-60 years ago itworks
I spoke too soon I did see a rust hole damn it. I believe if I was going to change engines in that truck I believe I would use a Ford 300 6-cylinder not being a Ford man I had a 300 6-cylinder it was a kick-ass engine. It was in a 78 Ford van it came with a 4 speed with overdrive transmission I put a hundred and eighty thousand miles on it in about 2 and 1/2 years when I sold it the guy thought it only had 80 thousand cuz it ran so good. It was all highway miles I've been a pipe welder 4 50 years and did a lot of traveling. I bought it when I came back from Alaskan pipeline.
Can't really tell from the video what condition is the body in? It looks really clean the body has the body been blocked sanded? The water fine man I haven't seen one of those in a long time.
It's really a cool and rare truck there. You need to make a video with all your toys displayed sure would like to see them
When you said ''you probably smell the fuel from where you are'' I actually got a draft of old gas from my vw buggy project lol
Maybe that's the reason that I stayed away from vans and Volkswagens, so easy to work on a real car or truck engine, they were right in the open.
Sounds like Christine!
Wheels look great!
How many of us disconnected the air pump, then hooked it back up for the inspection? Cars used to be so easy. Nowadays your car can leave you stranded because a tire is 4 pounds low on air or your ass warmer threw a code, ffs…
