some days go that way!

A break in the weather brings another busy day on the farm, with many jobs to start, but I can’t seem to finish any of them. Some days go that way! Hilarie and I start by tilting solar panels, then get to work on building the chicken house. The loader parts for the 656 tractor come in the mail, and Dad and I take a look at how to mount the quick attach on the tractor. I start repacking the 656 tractor wheel bearings, but the day ends before I can finish. Finally, homegrown chicken is for dinner, and I show my favorite way for how to grill a whole chicken.

  1. Pete if you see this I'm asking if you would play your banjo for the little pigs, than the cows, you might be surprised how they react. I haven't heard you sing so maybe the first time just the banjo. Just me Michael John and a simple request.

  2. Pete, was your chicken house purchased or did you bend the hoops yourself? From looking at how the ends were fitted when you did the repair I'm thinking you bought it? ***UPDATE, I found my answer to my first question in this video of Pete's: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpTH7SQvGm8
Last question: In one video you mentioned that in planning the farm you wished it was larger? How large of a chicken house if you did it over and how many hens? Good video.

  3. Why didn't you clean that mess from the tree off the concrete before you closed it in? Sorry, couldn't resist. 🤣🤭 me and the wife have been binge watching all your videos since we found you last month. We just bought 16 acres of blank slate farm land and are hard at work building it out.

  4. Seeing the process is just as seeing the results. It's also gratifying to see that, even on YouTube, where videos are inherently biased to show finished product, there's a lot of labor that goes into worthwhile work, and sometimes things aren't simple and quickly finished. I love this channel.

  5. That’s funny that the squirrels put the walnuts in the dash. It is also frustrating too. I just discovered a large mouse nest and loose wiring in my Oliver 1655 dash the other day 😅👎. Great video as always Pete. Thanks for the awesome content!

  6. Very interesting seeing the steps you took to repair the tire parts. Was also informative to be following along as you both mounted the walls of the chicken coop.
