  1. Ray, duh; factory hood prop rod is on the passenger fender well next to that super duper battery!
That's right Ray, get your nuts off !
Remember when booster retaining studs came out of the firewall? Less contortion in foot wells!
Leaking booster was a possible source for the check engine light.

  2. My mechanic told me Jeep stands for "Just Empty Every Pocket". I have a Cherokee and a Liberty. Both have over 450,000 miles on them. (of course they've been totally rebuilt more than once)

  3. Ray, what you been smokin!!"" The hood hold-up rod is on the inner fender in front of the battery. I could see it in the video, and I have an XJ. 😁

  4. As soon ad Ray said "I need to figure out this problem with brake booster" i immediately knew what it was. The master cylinder main seal is leaking brake fluid into the brake booster. This goes through the vent tube into the combustion chamber and gets burnt up and out the exhaust. It can look like white smoke when it gets that bad. To diagnose without removing master, you just pull off vacuum hose on brake booster and put a syring with 3/16"(4.8mm) 1ft long vinyl tube on syring to suck up brakw fluid. If there is any fluid, master cylinder is leaking. Replace master cylinder seals and replace power brake booster.
    Its a Jeep thing.

  5. Is it crazy that I'm jealous that that jeeps rear hatch handle works. Man owning an XJ is making me feel all kinds of emotions that I never had with any other car.

  6. The method for unbolting a 4 stud ancillary device should be"
-test all bolts and find tightest one, then remove the others first.
Same method can be applied to just about anything

  7. Replaced my 2001 2.0 Stream alternator with a aftermarket Lucas unit and have had the battery warning light light ever since but it's doing it's job correctly three months so I'm living with it for now
My workmates had the same problem with his Civic type R
I'm thinking of selling my soul and taking it to Honda dealer 😮
