Quick low tech tip? An S hook from a bungi strap and a rag will solve your wet shop floor issue. Lol
Hang it on the side that it's missing from and tye water will hit it and run straight down into your resivore. Your lower unit is in.
Just a little extra oil to flush it out.

Yes Honda do make good units, I believe the Honda Civic/Accord cars are Good, ( unsure about their others ) I have a 2020 Honda motorbike, they Do Build Good Quality!! This one sounded sweet running and will serve a small boat for many more years!!

That was very funny- the overfill. We all make mistakes ! We had a sd loedboat up at Greenwood lake ny in the 70-80’s had a 115 evinrude outboard.
Hit the damn thing on a log a gore the bottom of the lower unit. We had 2 props repaired also/ they were welded but they were a little out of balance so – they worked . It is what it is.
Which is fully air cooled and noisy

About 10 years ago we were fishing in the GWN, and one of the guys with us went to pull anchor and it was real hard pulling up. well it took 3 of us to pull it out and there was a 12 foot boat attached to it. On the back end was a small Honda like that one. We pulled it on shore dumped the water out of the boat and it floated. So we pulled the whole thing back to the lodge that was painted on the side of the boat. The lodge owner said that boat had gone missing a bunch of years before, and he turned it in to the ins company. Said you want it take it,, we brought it back to the lower 48, the boat was in good shape,, and as far as I know as I know after tear down cleaning it is still running today,, Honda motors are damn near bullett proof

found a 1998 yamaha 2hp two stroke for $20 at a yardsale last weekend. it was covered in dust but after a clean up and cleaning the carb she fired up and looks great. its so satisfying.
