In this video, I go over performing an upgrade kernel on ubuntu 18.04. By default, it stays on the 4.15 kernel and I am about to upgrade it to a later kernel.

Download the dpkg’s @
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/

Run command from folder that ONLY has those dpkgs
sudo dpkg -i *.deb

Using a GUI to do upgrade INSTEAD of manual download
(Installation of UKUU)
1. Add PPA – # sudo add-apt-repository ppa:teejee2008/ppa
2. Install UKUU – # sudo apt-get install ukuu
3. Launch UKUU – Type ‘Ubuntu Kernel Update Utility’ in Application search
