In this video we are reminded of the old saying, “if it’s to good to be true, it probably isn’t.” This is a perfect example as a mechanic was unloading the parts cannon to attempt to fix this Chevrolet he ended up on E-Bay and bought an entire set of “AC Delco” Fuel injectors for $85! 😂 Let’s get real, they are $97 EACH at the dealer! Any how, it may have cost him the engine as we see in this video the #2 injector is wide open possible hydro locking the engine and bending the rod. We’ll never know because the mechanic is taking it back to his shop to toss a few more parts in the chamber. For what it is worth, beware if buying what seems like a great deal from the internet. -Enjoy!

I bought an Ebay ac delco oil filter once… it was fine for a week, then out of nowhere, started leaking oil like a siv at the crimp/seam.
My brother always buys the cheapest crap ebay parts he can find, even after me trying to convince him for years that it's not worth it. Now he's wanting to start buying parts from Temu too lol.
Guess he'll learn the hard way. I would have done the same as you and push it out and tell them to pick it up.
I BOUGHT A CASE OF TROJANS ON LINE NOW FATHERS DAY IS THE WORST DAY OF THE YEAR!
If y9u can do it, I know I cant do it….Thats why Id bring my car to you. Thanks EricO
I always buy car parts OEM (never had an issue with those), never ever Chinisium counterfeit parts, unless You want to gamble with your life.
If curious about a bent rod- that would reduce the compression ratio and show up on a compression test. The cranking type, not a leakdown..
I bought a flipped truck, drove it for years…took apart to fix a burnt exh valve, and found that it had been running fine with a pretty bent rod, probably from oil or fuel from when it was flipped..
That looked like a lot of fuel for even a stuck injector, but no other place for it to come from, if it's fuel..
What an education in real world auto mechanics! Thank you!
"He had a lean code" – LOL , not anymore.
“I need to ride on a trailer code†Swaptronics….Trynamstics…..😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 You are the best Eric! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The owner of the car must be living under a rock to miss the chance of having the right guy to fix that engine properly. What is amazing to me is that somehow somewhere somebody told him to take it to you and still he ended up going with the guy that messed up everything in the first place….amazing and disappointing at the same time!
Same on amazon.
Yes, they can. I bought a “Genuine Honda†timing belt kit off of EBay. I had my suspicions because it was $100 cheaper than anywhere else. I should have listened to my gut because the belt broke 1,000 miles later and cost me $3,000 to have the heads/valves redone. Luckily it didn’t hurt the pistons. It could have been much worse.
The big problem today is even the parts store is selling junk. I had a starter from Carquest lifetime warranty starter that died in 11 months. It isn't just Ebay . Parking lot repair.
1:08 everything reminds me of her
I kid you not, the ad on YouTube before this video was for EBAY Motors pushing the parts
"swap-tronics" and "try-agnostics" 🤣🤣🤣 I'ma have to remember those!!
the cheapest man pays the most
Sad isn’t
Chinese parts, when you only need it to look right.
From Vancouver Island B.C.Canada Enjoy everything I have ever watched Eric do. 77 years old and been trying fr a long time to be
this good. Best Ive watched. Many thanks
So, the guy's parts changer needed the assistance of a real mechanic. There's a joke in there somewhere. . .
"My monochromatic lover" that's a punk band name if I ever heard one
Ebay should be held responsible for selling counterfeit parts.
