  1. I learned a lot just now.
I have been seeing TRIALS when I thought auto correct may be giving you that instead of TRAILS.
I’ve seen the rebuild of the carb in this one but I admire how you do the work then redo it, then put on a drill to crank it! Wish I had your patience.

  2. hi everyone, i just picked up a TL 250 1975 mod, in the process of pulling it down to frame and cleaning and painting , i need a crankcase cover, unfortunately mine has been cracked and repaired with araldite "didnt work " still leaks oil, keen to see if anyone has a spare or knows of anyone with with one . cheers Paul

  3. I grew up riding the woods in Texas. Honed my skills in an Enduro Trials style. Decided to ride trials because Motocross was too insane for me. I liked the old style Cross Country Enduro Racing better. These bikes were fantastic for their time.

  4. Hey Mustie1, Maybe this carb will fit…. https://www.ebay.com/itm/30mm-Motorcycle-Scooter-Carburetor-Racing-Parts-w-Power-Jet-for-Keihin-Carb-PWK/292583047139?fits=Make%3AHonda%7CModel%3ATL250&epid=10019955655&hash=item441f4effe3%3Ag%3Af-sAAOSwty5bDKo5&_sacat=0&_nkw=honda+tl250+carb&_from=R40&rt=nc&_trksid=m570.l1313 , I hope this helps…. BTW, nice bike, motor looks a lot like the ATC200X or the a TRX250X, the older chain drive kind, kind of a mix of the 2…

  5. Lol, so funny. It is pronounced "yawa", because the first two letters of the brand is from name of the founder – Janeček ("yaneczek") 😀
The -WA is by the way abbreviation of the first engine used, it was called Wanderer.

  6. That machine is well worth your best effort. It is not only a classic, but was the start of a new era in Trials. When Honda came out with that, just about all the known trials bikes were not only two stroke but they were seldom more than 125 cc's. I was at an expo in 1976 in Charlotte NC when Honda was making a big push to promote those first editions. They brought in Sammy Miller (multiple time world champion at trials) to show off the new Hondas. I stood in awe as he rode one of the TL 250s up a near vertical bank, stopped about half way up, killed the engine and presented a talk to the gathered crowd, then restarted the bike and drove off without ever putting a foot down or slipping back to the bottom. Even with the extreme capabilities demonstrated today in Trials Competition, I don't believe I've ever seen anything more impressive done with a motorcycle. Oh Yeah, it didn't have electric start, he had to kick it to restart.

  7. Been a new sub for about a year now, I really like your videos. Your very detailed and I have learned a lot. It's not related to this project I have a Stihl weed eater model FS55R and it has a real hard pull and I have asked many YouTubers that work on this stuff with no responses so I thought I would ask you, any ideas? I meant add I am looking forward to seeing you work on that Cushman,

  8. OK, got to admit I was a bit disappointed not to see more of this bike at this time but I understand you need to build a stock for winter projects but, even so, at 3min 19 it was all a bit brief….

  9. Modern Trials bikes are HALF the size of that thing. I had a 1976 Yamaha 125 Trials that had a much lower center of gravity. Mustie I have one concern. Those wheels and tires seem kind of small for a Trials bike….(could just be the video or my eyes)..
