    Pros
    1)stock Android is super smooth and easy on the eye with absolutely no bloatware
    2)processer is pretty good
    3)the display is superb and the rear camera is also pretty good
    Cons
    1)disappointed with selfie camera
    2)the back gets scratches every time i remove the cover
    3)very slow charging

17. Bought this phone at launch one and a half year ago. I want to upgrade but there's no phone that can compete with this beast. The battery life is ridiculously good. One year and a half and the battery health is at 87%. But it still could easily get 12hours soc.

    I don't play game much but I watch YouTube and read manga a lot. It's still snappy and doesn't overheat whatsoever. 3gb ram is probably not enough in 2020 since the phone can't retain too much apps opening at once but that's not an issue for me.

    My screen broke once and I replace it myself. It's pretty easy to open as compared to glass phone. It's full hd which is beautiful. I thought about changing to mi A3 for it's amoled panel but i changed my mind when I compare it in the store. The full hd ips screen is better.

    Sound quality is good for watching movies or YouTube. It's loud and clear. I prefer using the speaker rather than earphones when consuming videos. But for music, earphone is better.

    Camera is not an issue for me as I rarely take pictures. But it's good. Not flagship level great but still usable. Especially with gcam.

    So far I think I made a good buy with this phone. My only regret is buying the 3gb ram variant. This phone will easily last another 2 to 3 years. It's loved by the custom rom community and there is a lot of custom rom to choose from.

18. I have been using this phone for a year and a half now and has'nt disappointed me even once.. Yes i did have issues with the outdated Qualcomm stock camera but after enabling camera2api feature and started using gcam 7 mod ,things have changed. The camera is excellent and asus zenfone max pro m1 is the only perfect phone i used till date… i have used 6 phones yet…And I'm glad asus didn't slowed down the phone through software updates unlike my dad's redmi note 5 pro which feels like hours when opening apps.

21. This is my second Asus phone and probably my last one because I hate Asus in terms of software. Hardware is good but software is horrible. Just see new RAM management, it is disaster..

36. I have been using it for 3-4 months now, I am on the latest sw update. But still a few bugs here and there are annoying.
    Stock camera app is a disaster for photos but very good for videos. Colors look bad in photos while it looks stunning in videos. So its all about software.

38. Any major bugs on 0.58 ? With new updates comes new bugs. I've to disable fingerprint due to battery drain issue after updating 0.56.

39. much needed review… honestly i feel the same, this still is a beast considering the price at which it is available, competing with Samsung M series under 10 and Redmi ones

40. asus phones dont support 5ghz wifi which no youtuber tells. That is a big con for me.
