Join the concrete crew on the final pour of this 3 day job. We saw cut the joints in this driveway which makes finishing much faster and easier. It was a hot day but at least it didn’t rain like the day before! This one is done and we are on to the next.
Unfortunately it rained about an inch overnight and we were unable to bring a concrete truck in the same way we had been. We ended up bringing the concrete truck up the driveway, which is risky and using a power buggy to bring the concrete in. It was a short power buggy trip and the concrete went down fast. It was just a big wide open area and easy money!
What was that thing g they were dragging across the concrete with a rope? Why doesn't he use it anymore?

Worked with this kid big mike and we didnt call him big cuz he was big we called him big because he towered over the whole crew by a head at least. And he was at least three of me wide. His dad was our gc and he used to tell us to hang a hoho over big mikes shoulder and he would push the barrels harder 😂 love a good sense of humour

Usually the pumps are run by a pumping company. You call them to come in for jobs when you need it. You pay them a fee as well as the concrete. That's how it is out here in S.E. PA

Screw them concrete pumps, thats opening up a whole new realm of liability. Those things ate so dangerous its not even funny, Ill buggy 1000 yards of concrete before I would even consider a concrete pump. I know personally of 3 fatalities from the things. Not gping to happen in my shop!

I ran a 38 meter boom for a couple years in MT. When pumping is good it's good but when things go bad and you have to jack hammer 38 meters of pipe cus the concrete snapped on ya, not a good day.
