  1. In the beginning of the video, you checked All Data and found the refrigerant weight to be 1.6 lb. When you recharged, you only added 1.4? In a later video working on the same truck, exactly the same thing happens? When you originally recovered refrigerant it was low, so you recharged to the same low weight. Add .2 lbs refrigerant.

  2. UNSUB!! I DIDN'T COME HERE FOR MAGIC TRICKS! (@8:19)
🤣😂🤣 I love your videos, Ray!
Watching this one after watching your one published today–I think I've seen this one before but still entertaining.
Hope you and your family are doing well!

  3. The scary party is so I had a friend of mine's grandson that is a good drink Tech wants to tell me that I need a new radio in my mom's car because the muffler shop that checked the cooling and did the oil change overfilled it with coolant but he didn't even check it or pressurize it he just assumed and believe me hes he had an attitude about it's the biggest the moon that he was never wrong and his grandpa had been doing it 90 years was never right he thought he always knew more I don't know how people do that to older people but know Far more than they do I just can't stand it

  4. Yeah if you don't use that much bright clean jets for video purposes I'd hate to see your bright clean bill at the parts house after a week If you do that other than for dramatic effect do you want to go through about 10 or 15 cases a week

  5. Wow 13 mpg on a diesel engine that is horrible, You need to start experimenting with some taller tires and a cooler temped thermostat, as far as the A/C goes if the specs call for 1.6 pounds then put 1.6 pounds in it if nothing else try 1.65 pounds and see what happens, I ran a Semi Truck for many years and I turned 9.2 mpg with tire and thermostat changes along with a little extra refrigerant and was in the 38 degree range at idle, have a great pay.

  6. Had to replace the heater core in my 01 Blazer(leaked coolant all over the passenger side floorboards). After breaking several brittle plastic dash pieces and fasteners, I took it to my local shop with the parts and said "pleased this for me?". Cost a couple hundos (worth it) and couple more broken dash pieces. But at least it wasn't me breaking my own dash up. And the heat in that truck was glorious afterwards.

  7. When did you last replace the dryer ? Is the expansion valve integral with your evaporator , though regardless it is collocated with it so it's a dash off anyway even if that's all you need to replace.

  8. Ray you should've replaced the dryer and orifice tube also…..you think the compressor is coming apart or was it flooded with oil and dye? what made you suspect evaporator blockage and not condenser blockage? either will cause high high. As far as your fuel mileage suffering because compressor strain was more than normal think about this, does your mileage change when you use your A/c ? sure it does. Even with the bit of torque that durascrap has! Sorry I'm a tech too and I hate all cars and trucks…..

  9. I never thought i would say this to myself my AC repair bill was a major money loss with unnecessary parts. I still had warm AC was hot like the heat was on. Now i know after i got rid of the vehicle 6 months ago. it actually needed a line blow out job

  10. Yeah I get to do some AC repair on my 95 Plymouth Grand Voyager I know the compressor turns on but there's no refrigerant anywhere in the system I own the vehicle for a year and a half now but it's sat in my landlord's driveway for 5 years so it's probably been good 6 years or more since it had anything this ought to be a fun journey

  11. I'm 78 so I see a lot of stuff you can do better or improve on. Using a lug wrench with a cheater bar you can lift up on the lug nut wrench instead of standing on it. Most of the time the stud Will twist off. So heating it first might save it. I don't have all those special tools you have.

  12. Raymond displaying his bartender fancy pouring skills; I'm impressed. I'm confused with the low pressure on the high end and high pressure on the low end. As Vinny Barberino used to lament; oh, I'm so confused. We love it Ray. 😎

  13. the logic for refrigerant is that heat must go in for pressure to go up. If the evap was plugged or not transferring heat the refrigerant pressures will drop as the condenser continues to remove heat and condense into a liquid. And if you suspect a clog def need to check the orifice tube.

  14. Thats a cool tool for someone that has to pay out of pocket. My dumb company replaces the evaporator anytime there's and isssue with the a/c…..

  15. why wouldn't you replace the receiver/dryer? if the evap was plugged wouldn't dryer be contaminated and resist flow too? might have been some of the desiccant that was plugging the evap.
