  1. 2022 summed up in a few eloquent words: “We are all living in our own reality and anyone who challenges that, we must fight them and destroy them” Quote of the year! Well said Mr. Rainman!!!!

  2. Just because you can afford to buy it. Doesn't mean you can afford the upkeep on it. Stupid people. I got a land Rover. I might not have food in the house. But I got a land Rover!!!

  3. I don't know if that Rover is full-time four-wheel-drive; but on vehicles like my full-time Volvo, an issue like that could well mean replacing all four tires with the same model. The transmissions don't like having different resistance on the road. Been there; done that. It's in the owners manual. The hidden joys of owning highly sophisticated vehicles.

  4. Ray's knowledge, expertise and attention to detail are all admirable. I just wish he'd cut back on the unnecessary gibberish and silly noises. I just don't get the need for either.

  5. Gotta do what you gotta do🤷‍♂️ sometimes you just have to bite your tongue and walk away, you have a family to provide for.

  6. I don't know thus why I am asking, but why couldn't you put an inner tube in when a patch is not an option? Is it because of the tire itself? Remember, the only stupid question is the one you don't ask.

  7. Yup.. sometimes customers are their own worst enemy…and that is why Liability Waivers were invented. We do what we can but at some point, we can only do so much. I am sure we all can share a story or two of willful ignorance.

  8. As long as they sign a waiver it's on them. These are the kind of people that try to pet buffalo while at Yellowstone lololololololo Fancy poorly taken care of car people does not mean smart people. Thx for all the good work you do. Shame on them.

  9. Hey Ray, No one has any reason to rip you a new one because THIS IS YOUR BUSINESS, AND YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE CUSTOMERS IN THE MANNER THAT WORKS BEST FOR YOU. Every circumstance that you face daily affects you and your customers and that In the end affects your Business, Soooo It's not for us to Judge your decisions negatively. Your customers are darn lucky to have such an honest Auto Repair Shop to go to 🙏🤠

  10. I think you explained very clearly why a puncture on the tread is not repairable. I’ve had a couple of otherwise good tires rejected for repair without a
clear explanation. Just “can’t fix that”. One was a $500+ tire with less than 1K miles on it junked. Life is tough.

  11. i had a tire with a puncture just like that. i put a plug in it and its holding so far. (1st i tried a patch but it still leaked). but yeah a tire with a puncture on the edge of the tread by the sidewall should be replaced if you dont want to risk a blow out on the highway

  12. Thats how i patch tires too, you did everything perfect, the only thing i do different is use a small ammount od cement around the shaft of the plug, i have successfully patched tires that were almost on the sidewall, 1inch is the rule of thumb, i use my thumb if its under a thumb width its too close

  13. It would be nice in another video to go over in detail on that tire changing process and the balancing machine.
Don't you hate the saying "The Customer is Always Right?" I deal with customers all the time, and they think they know more then you, a professional in your field.

  14. My last boss always said, "What the customer wants, the customer gets. Just make them sign the waiver explaining what the issue is and why the shop ain't liable for the customers dumb choices."
