I miss the slant 6. I even had one with an iron duke. Not the fastest thing on the road but would climb a tree.
You could have gotten a 4 ft all thread bolt, cut to length with washer and nut
87 was a funny year for Jeep. Still AMC so they either had an Iron Duke or a slant 6. An automatic transmission with the iron duke wasn’t very common.
I don't have a Home Depot near me but we do have a great Ace hardware store that sits smack dab in the middle of a huge grocery store ! They have a good selection of Automotive bolts. Keep up the fun videos !
I hope you dinged the seller on ebay.
That Maglight always works as a baton to beat people into submission. Works better than the Asps that they use now days. Oh the good old jeep death rattle on the steering. Yes it is a thing. Funny how it went from Jeep things to Mustang things real quick.
Nothing weird below the beard !
Great video
Why didn’t you just buy a piece of all thread same thread size do you need to cut it down to the link you needed it been done
Thats what I like about you Ray as you film your feck ups…. makes us at home feel better
Fun fact, modern (i.e the last 50 years) light dimmers generally don’t use pots. They use a device called a TRIAC to interrupt current flow partway through the cycle, for example they’ll cut off current 9ms after the zero point is crossed to reduce the average power to the bulb by half.
That weld was a jeep move if i've ever seen one. You are one of us now. Bleepin' Jeep would be proud, brother. y'all should help me out and cross post this to bleepin' jeep because this is pure frankenstein genius!! hell, you'll get more views from monkeywrenchers like me.
To be a mechanic, you’re not very good at identifying trucks from the rear lol jk Rainman
Amazing workaround on that nut, I mean bolt. Bravo!!
Well first we won't mention the fact that you welded those bolts together, loosing there temper. But you used grade 5 bolts on the front of that engine. Any first year mechanic knows you should be using grade 8.
They said no on the motor mount wow
Juan has Juashers
Congrads Ray it,s starting to look like a real shop
Great video. DIY belt tensioner is a dining bread. Great vid.
17:00 I would sue the s*** out of a mechanic shop if I seen them Jimmy rigging a bolt to fit to a place that has a lot of vibration and torque put into it that bolt could easily break come loose get caught in the fan and shoot right through the radiator
