Where is my faith in you, Ray? When you started to pull the drivers side fan out I said to myself, "he's never getting that out thorough there." Well, that was true, but you didn't try for there, you took the other fan out and brought it out through the other side. Well done!
never realized that
there are two different fans! thought both
same versus one hi
speed 2nd low speed.
I knew that pressure
was critical for freon
to properly function,
now temp is also
a critical thing too!
great video, always
learn something new!
Sounds like a cat in the engine compartment 😳😅
You know you could have just released the terminals in that connector and installed the terminals in the old connector shell.
That last minute decision to recover and recharge the AC system it’s just going to put the wife unit in a happy mood and solidify her as a return customer nice work
Love the content as far as video editing have you looked into nvidia noise canceling may be able to pull out the music and save you some monetization but may also remove alot of the ugaduga's…but may be worth the effort if for nothing other then learning something new.anyways keep up the great content
i had this happen to me with my suv the 2017 nissan pathfinder i saw the fans where dead so i was running hot so changed out the fans and was just fine also did it to another persons car that had the same issue very good work
I have a Honda Odyssey and just replaced the entire AC including the cooling fans and harness. $2000. My fans quit working within months. Changed the relay switches and 3 fuses. Honda did not carry the relay switches so had to use auto zone brand but the fans are spinning. So glad summer is ending. I live in my odyssey.
Get hot and melt the solder….you're funny. Wait, never mind I've seen you solder 😜
Hi Ray, A other great video, Thanks. Jobs becoming very hazardous what with inspection lamp and other gravities – as well as the hiding 10 mm socket syndrome. Take care mate.
I'd be cussing my head off. But that's just me…I'm fairly sure no one else would be.
Oil was still dirty
Don't think it was fromt kmart, but I remember seeing one of those torque wrenches in the garage growing up. Among the other tools my dad had for at home car repairs.
I would have replaced both fans as they are same age. I don't like doing things twice ; )
The connector did not click because the white locking lug (22:42) in the connector was not fully seated.
You are supposed to use 0w20 not 5w20.
Ray, I love you bro and your channel. I have been a subscriber since you started but I have to say that when you guys do not put the correct oil that the cap says, that really chaps my ample butt cheeks, man. Is it a cost thing that your company says to do? I had a nisssan manager tell me that they provided 5w20 or 5w30 for 0w20 and I am like so is Nissan wrong? Are engineers that built this truck stupid and you guys are geniuses and he said well, we live in the south and you have a low mileage truck (only 20,000 miles) and we are allowed to put in 5w20…. I told him to put the right oil because my truck that costs $60k and is a big part of my business needs to be maintained properly. So what are your thought regarding the oil switch out? I don’t agree with it and if the 0w20 synthetic is more expensive well that is why I bought the oil change package for.
He needs to have a B-Roll channel called "Brake Clean Addicts"
Nice shout out to Eric O
I was always told to use what’s labeled on the oil cap no matter the mileage. I guess if Ray does it… it’s ok ðŸ‘
I’ve learned a lot from your videos
That is a nifty electric ratchet.
keep up the good videos, and good work, i did notice the connector on new fan had the white insert piece too far up and the oem it was pushed down where it was supposed to ber, but better fix was what u did..
Interesting , good job
That oil fill is a great example of stupid engineering.
as a german i love the little sprinkles of german words in your videos 😀 keep it going ray i learn so much from your videos!
I've been a "fan" of Ray's videos since watching the first one I saw on YouTube.
that is one old school torque wrench
0w20 is used because it is synthetic. The vehicles computer that calculates service intervals bases oil change intervals on synthetic.
You were on the right track to reset the service interval through the dash, there was just one step you were missing.
Press and hold the odo/trip button for 10 seconds with the oil life/miles over shown and it'll begin flashing, then tap the odo/trip button and it'll stop flashing, then hold the odo/trip button again for 10 seconds and it'll reset.
I didn't know you could go through the infotainment to reset on the "older" Hondas, I just figured it was the newer ones (2018/19+).
I feel like if I keep watching rays videos I’ll know how to fix cars. ðŸ˜
Dealer will use 5-20, I made the comment "so I can use it instead of 0-20, give you one guess on what they put in the next time.
Wait, isn't refrigerant highly toxic?
Hi Great videos !!! Look into new double crimp plyers in one grip . They also don't let loose until completely crimped ! Not sure mfg. I got mine at interstate battery .
Love the videos, you make it look easy.
Just get nervous when I see the metal ring, I seen some bad industrial accidents with rings. I commend you for representing but maybe a rubber ring or something I have seen others use.
Brake clean will make rubber expand.
Dang gapaneess car is brokn boi. U fixxin em good. Boi ur Bos man probly hapi boi. Don’t mak him mad boi. ðŸ‘
Great recovery of 10 mm socket I’ll double check my fans on Honda CR-V
7:22 I love that design. Aims the dirty oil directly on top of the frame to make sure it splashes absolutely everywhere.
Im actually shocked it didn't overheat
Dirty funnel
