The Ea888.3 engine has a plastic oil pan and it deforms with time! and it leaks a ton of oil, what people do is they go back to the metal gen 2 oil pan, make sure you get the shorter bolts 20 each
Just 4 quarts low, LOL. Some people don't deserve cars.
I really wonder if a car was pushing that much oil it would have been smoking like crazy and probably the cat system would have been loaded up with oil I don't know I didn't see the tailpipe we'll find out in a thousand Miles have a good evening
Hey it's a TSI! They had some big oil consumption problems, as well as the TFSI. So it could have burned 4 quarts of oil in 2,5k miles no problem.
Seeing you trying to get the captive bolts out of the PCV valve was funny as hell. I just did this exact repair last month!
2:27 🤣 I just had to clip that
There is a TSB on the seatbelt wire. If the front seat is slammed all the way to the back, it will break the wire. VW can install an extension on the wire. Easy fix.
VAG Group 1,8 – 2,0 TFSI engines 2008-2012 are known to eat oil due to bad design. 1 litre of oil per 1000 km is â€normalâ€. Lots of discussion in Europe as VAG refuses to fix in most countries. Strongly recommend to stay away from these. Starts to leak past piston rings after 50 tkm faster with bad quality oil
Good video!!
I have a 2014 passat, and the seatbelt thing bings until I buckle the empty passenger seat. I suspect there's a stupid little weight sensor in the seat that needs replaced.
And I'm sure you told her to CHECK THE OIL LEVEL EVERY WEEK HERSELF, and not just drive it 1000 miles , without knowing if it was OUT OF OIL.
Looking forward to the 1000mile re check on oil consumption…
Whenever I pull out my car from an shop who did an oil change, I pop up the hood and Check the dipstick…. Just in case….
Only people who does nothing never misses….
Saved my engine once that way
The real question is how can the owner stand to hear that faulty seatbelt chime going off every few seconds.
The seatbelt indicator is because of weight being applied on the passenger seat
Like having groceries on there, it lights up
13:00 – Is there anything in the passenger seat with weight or a bad weight sensor in the seat? could think that one needs clicked.
4:26 – Did the oil change place not put any in or did it leak out? may be covered later.
The belt sensor beeps cause of the cables laying on it. It is a capacitive sensor, the powered cable or devices will make it trigger. This is how it make the difference between a live body and a piece of ham.
if you have something on the passenger seat that is heavy enough….the car thinks you have a person in the seat…triggering the seat belt warning.
you should really wear your seatbelt.
this is sarcasm.
You think maybe the last place that did the oil change just made a mistake and forgot to add the proper amount of oil. Maybe got distracted and put in 2 quarts and someone distracted them and they just forgot they didn't finish?
light comes on when anything is in passenger seat at all.my jetta i had did the same thing.
