  1. Ray, I have a great time watching and the fact that you still want to open the diff and inspect it thoroughly gives me a bit more respect for you 😀. Most people don't.

  2. The advantage of Ray doing so many videos, is that I have crap loads to view !! I still see ones that I have not viewed before – but actually find myself watching some again (like this one!) I can't believe how a failed bearing could devastate the transmission like that. It was kinda cool seeing the transmission in bits and it would have been nice to see a rebuild, but that bad boy was too far gone – with the case damage, junk yard replacement was the best option (well – only option!).

  3. I actually looked up a chart (out of curiosity of course) and according to said chart, chevy pickups which would be closely related to this van, will go about 25 miles with the light on. My car being a chevy sonic, is listed to have 2 gallons of fuel when the light is triggered, and will go 56-84 miles with the light on (kind of reduces my range anxiety a bit, still personally wont drive far with the light on because i enjoy my fuel pump)

  4. Question… my savanna broke it's driveshaft. Right in front of a junk yard. Tye had a extra and I tried to replace it . When doing so. The pinion angle of the rear end was upward by 10⁰? A guy said the dog bone broke its holding pins? Is there a bolt or something.. I was told the axle arms are in the right position as for shocks and leaf spring placement…what I can turn to get it down enough to drive it to a real mechanic.. I'm good only for temp repairs..this is my money maker. The yard doesn't have a van rear end..this is the closest I've come to anything that show working on the van vs jut talking about angles.. it's a 98-2002 10 both 5 lug rear end.

  5. Regarding the sensor screw–would it not have been better to hit it gently with an impact driver rather than ratchet? It seems from my experience that impact is less likely to round off the socket.

  6. This was Great Rainman! 👍 You made it all look so easy. I know proper tools & a lift make hours & hours of difference. & then of course…You are a Professional.
Thank You so mutch, for sharing your knowledge.

  7. honestly Ray… I would have been kinda bummed out if you didn't call me to come and clean that rusty axle before you installed it… so much easier on the ground…
