Rainman what was that part called. And was that the timing belt exposed
I have an 2002 and this car sucks. Replaced the front suspension 3 times and its still bad. All within a year. Weird its actually a flood car from florida
REEEEEE! ( just because you want it ) you know better! It doesn't rain in Florida! Sunshine every day! And, another day with Ray!
Scan tools sure saves repair time.
Ray u are the man
If I've learned anything about Toyotas, it's not an issue until the vsc light comes on
You should have taken the car out in the rain it might have got cleaned off as far as the in there I don't think they would notice a couple of fingerprints man that was rough array by the way I saw that little piece of plastic on you parts clean and squirter yeah that's a deflection shield so you don't get splattered I know you're amazing have a good night bye
Loved the F&F reference! Neat to see a 2JZ-GE in this Lexus.
Why is there a picture of a type 1 VW engine (air cooled) camshaft at the start of this video? :O
She probably fed the car too many doughnuts
I think your filthy gloves made a clean spot !!!!!!!!
Had VVT issues with my Chevy and did much the same thing. Cleaned them ( it has 2, intake and exhaust ) reinserted and test run. Same issue so replaced both since I was already there.
Side note: Valve timing was inconsistent during test drive with initial code for VVT issues.
Saving a customer money( even short term ) will usually bring them back. Good on you for taking the time to service the part instead of just replacing.
I'm going to admit, it came in because they just wanted it to work.. but if it's a temporary fix, they always forget and never follow up.
awesome
If you're gonna take your car to a mechanic at least get rid of your rubbish from lunch
No scope – just went for the jugular and fixed it. – Good job.
Some shops have BIG fans to help quick cool things
Trippy interior…magic mushroom chick
WOW ! It looks like the LS-300 has a pretty easy timing belt to change…!
I replaced the same unit in my wife's 2005 Hyundai Elantra. I was getting a slightly different code, but the error went away.
A timing belt?? How 90s is that? I prefer my Focus gear driven VVT
Amazing what 47 minutes from scan tool to end can do!
Your in the wrong business if you don't like to get dirty.. lol.. sometimes it's just gonna get on ya..
Good call on the solenoid Ray! Hope they come in the week otherwise they may just end up with same problem again.
Another honest job.
Is there a minimum charge even though sometimes they don’t want it fixed.. you still did work and used supplies.
cost to diagnose a problem.
I have that same car😂 except mine has 263,000 miles and no problems other than a small coolant leak that I fixed efficiently, just the radiator change.
I'm amazed, not really, that people don't have the common courtesy of at least cleaning the trash out of their vehicle before leaving it for the Tech to work on. The entitlement class is growing exponentially in this country.
2JZ!!!!!
Why dont folks clean their cars before they take it to get serviced , just nasty ✌🇺🇸
I learned something new thanks rain man
I cudnt work on cars for a living… it wud ruin my hobby… even welding gets old
