  1. This is past Rainman Ray gold. The melancholic futility of a mechanic faced with a reality of crushing defeat as the neglected pigs brought to him to waste his time are refused repair by their bottom feeding owners.

  2. Looked pretty new to need this repair. 4 wheel drives are harder on front ends but i would think this shouldn’t happen in the 30k mile range I saw on the odometer. It did not have oversized tires or rims either. Truck did not appear to be abused.

  3. Rainman Ray: I found your problem. It's not your alignment.

Customer: Then I'll take it somewhere else for an alignment.

It reminds me of that old Electric Company sketch where the guy goes into the cafe and orders coffee and a sweet roll. The waitress explains that they are out of sweet rolls. The customer then changes his order. He orders orange juice… and a sweet roll. This goes on for quite awhile.

  4. And being told he had worn out parts that need to be replaced he elects to believe an alignment will sort his trick out.

I'm sure his usual mechanic told him the same thing which is how he ended up at your shop.

Some people are just a special kind of stupid.

  5. The plot must thicken at some point. Even with worn inner tie rods, the shaking shouldn't be as consistent across the range, as it seemed in this video.

Granted, video isn't always the best way to illustrate the full picture.

But I suspect warped rotors. Those went unrepaired for too long, and ended up wearing out the tie rods. So it's probably best that he declined your service. Customers like that, they are the curse who keeps on cursing you.
