  1. I believe the correct expression from human resources is: "If the only tool in your toolbox is a hammer, then every problem looks like a nail."

  2. Am I the only mechanic/ shop owner that is cringing over how he is doing this? Not torquing the ring gear, improper preload on carrier bearings, pinion shim wrong location, no check back lash with indicator, did not scrub out axel tubes (you know there is metal in there). It is also much easier to install bearing cups with a bearing installer set, I would think just about every mechanic has or should have a set. Look I don’t have anything against this guy, I check in on him every once in awhile , I am glade he is doing well. However some of the things he does makes me roll my eyes.

  3. 25:04 lithium batteries can and will stop at the deleted threshold so that the recharge can happen. If a battery was allowed to be ran down 100%. There would be no way to analyze the battery condition for recharge rather than over heat and a fire!

  4. Sorry dude!! FAIL from start to finish . Twenty years as an ungloved master tech this was painful to watch! Job only pays six hours too lol

  5. Hey, buddy first thing II love your show. Hey, I'm a machinist trying to be on mechanic. I changed a lot of spindle bearings and and clutch work and gear work. And I try to be a mechanic. I have trouble. It takes a special breed. But maybe a little advice to help you. You help me. I know you can use the steel hamer the way you do But they have brass hammers. You can hit harder and you won't throw up a verb. And I know you're thinking will maybe a chip with a brass. I'll get caught in somewhere and it's really not that it's more soft and chip off.
2 when you were pressing on the beans. I was always taught. I use heat treatment oil and a Torch in a little cast iron like pale, you heat up the oil and I set the bearing in it and I get it hot not long a minute or 2 and that opens up the bearing so it'll just drop onto the shaft and in the meanwhile, I put the race. In the freezer all day overnight. In the race, just when it gets cold. It's shrinks up and you can push it in what your hand instead of pounding it into the casting. You can still tap it in there. Of course, it's just a little extra knowledge. Not that anybody is doing anything wrong or right. It takes a special man to do it. All anyway, we all have our. Waze, but look into the heat treatment oil. Not that you have to I think the heat treatment oil don't really catch on fire maybe or don't turn in the pigment. Or maybe regular oil might change. I don't know. I never tried it with that. It's just the way if you gotta see spindles auto machine. I really long 34 foot sometime. And it would take at an awesome process to do that. So we just drop on my l.
I hope this helps somebody out. Not that there's a longer right and I'm using a voice to texting. So if it says something weird like does barren has butt I can't help it.

  6. Man! You had me last year when you denied repair on that brown redneck truck. Lol. You taught me today taking that axle off. I enjoy watching your damage of the multifaceted english language. Haha

  7. There are certain jobs where technicians have the skills and the knowledge, but when they dig deeper, it soon becomes a specialist job. Gearboxes and diffs are definitely in that category!

  8. Not being a mechanic myself, I learn SO MUCH from your vids and I really appreciate your attention to detail. I never knew there was so much to rebuilding a rear end. Fascinating stuff. Thank you again for all the details.

  9. There are dimensions and tools to measure / set pinion depth, eliminating repeated R&R. I'm glad you checked the pattern with paint. Thanks for the video Ray
