    No one is against crime being addressed in the DC area, but the tactics are the issue. This is a short term fix for political optics. Let us think a little deeper, after they sweep the streets then what’s next. The what’s next is the solution. Jobs, community health centers, tutoring centers, localized police stations, rebuilding the area with a rich infrastructure that enhances the area. Hire locally when incomes go up crime go down. There no backbone to this cleanup and therefore it want last. This not a difficult fix but if you want long range effects you have to put some meat on the bone. We spend billions in other countries, why not in our own neighborhoods. Can we think a little deeper and give responses that truly get at the root of the problems. Thanks for opening this topic 🎉.
