  1. Mustie, you are rewriting the definition of Cool with this bike!
I hope your going to Greaserama and bringing this with you. What a treat it would be to see in person!

  2. Mustie1, Love the exhaust, springs are a great functional detail! I like the muffler heat guard look better than the coffee can chain guards, not sure that the colors of the coffee can work for the bike, maybe better when done, got a red, white and blue thing going there. I need to start collecting aluminum base ball bats for exhaust systems!

  3. Wonder what size those spokes are, 13 guage, 2.3mm, 0.09 mils? Standard bicycle is 14 gauge, 2.1mm. Wonder if you use a spoke tensiometer when truing? Apparently most spoke failures happen due to under tension. Maybe that's the one tool you don't own? I have one coming in the mail, Park Tool TM-1. Looks like it can do up to 11 gauge, 2.9mm spokes.

    Be real, be sober.

  4. Really looking good Darrin. Can't wait to hear it run again, now with the exhaust in place. I like your copper tube chain guard idea. The coffee can pieces are too busy as you pointed out earlier.

  5. I dont like the reflector, looks cheesy IMO, a bullet light would look cool on the axle mount on the side on the Non drive side of the bike. Nice and low

  6. Looking good Mustie. Will you be able to put your foot on the right pedal with the engine poking out? Looks like the pedal doesn't stick out enough.

  7. I love the ratchet shifter mechanism. I think that turned out great. I think copper tubing for the chain would be pretty awesome… the front sprocket cover looks cool, but the bare sprocket looks good too, so I dunno.  I think you need something cool for the recoil start cover though.  Looking really good, ought to be another machine that everyone wants to buy when she's finished! I can't wait to hear that baby full roar running down the road, I bet the exhaust sound will be fantastic.

  8. Love the cooper tube chain guard idea. You could make the top and bottom one piece by notching half it out and bending it around the rear sprocket so it's looks continuos.

  9. Your so clever and artistic :-))

That downpipe guard is brilliant, it works so well and looks so solid :-))

I wouldnt worry about a chain guard, looks great as is :-))

  10. Copper tube chain guard sounds good, You could add a couple Ts and make a ladder look between the chains.  Tuna or cat food can air cleaner?  Brakes??

  11. Sweet you're at the final stages of your bike build 🙂
Thanx for the shout out brother, the bike is awesome and the test ride is makin me wait, hope it won't be long 🙂
Your driveline is pure genius, with the idler and the spring retainer, love it !
Keep on doin what you're doin, awesome thought process !
